User images policy[edit]
I see you have image links on your user page for your characters - before you upload them, please see [1] for user image policy, particularly naming. Images should be named "User_Elveh_xxxx". Shotmonkey 11:59, 23 September 2007 (UTC)
- I know, it's one of the reasons why I've not added any pictures yet. I need to sort them out first, then rename them... I usually don't have the time. For now, it's just a bunch of dead links that are waiting to be replaced by something that a) works and b) is named properly. -- Elveh 15:26, 23 September 2007 (UTC)
- Just change the name at uploading. Make the code, and then upload following the red link.reanor 15:06, 14 November 2007 (UTC)
I'll do it for you. Hope you won't mind.reanor 15:07, 14 November 2007 (UTC)
Done. I also fixed you armor links :Dreanor 15:19, 14 November 2007 (UTC)
ZOMG Linguists FTW! :D[edit]
Yay, I just read that you're a linguist, too! I say we hatch an evil plan to take over the world! May the formants be with us! Kokuou 08:27, 23 November 2007 (UTC)

- Sure we can. In fact, I already have. I've been the world's sovereign for years. Unfortunately, the world is rather insubordinate and refuses to acknowledge me. Then again, that's just a minor detail. ;) -- Elveh 09:42, 25 November 2007 (UTC)

Because it was off topic...[edit]
I've already linked you as a credit line [Seen here], and it works fine. Eventually I'll figure out how to use the pronunciation thing but otherwise, I'd like to thank you for the template and the many other people the template was probably inspired by. Vanguard16:43, 26 November 2007 (UTC)
- Haha, no problem. The pronunciation key is just something I've added for a laugh, because I'm a linguist and I'm odd that way. Well, I really just added because I thought it'd be nice to give people an idea of how to pronounce the names of my characters. I wish more people were familiar with the IPA (English), if only so they could teach me how to pronounce the names of their characters. It's a nerdy thing, though, so if you'd rather have a template without pronunciation key, I can help you set it up. :) -- Elveh 16:48, 26 November 2007 (UTC)
- The most I can do is like, my character Jolei, I can be all "Joh-lie" but not those funky letters and mess you see in the dictionary pronunciation mess. Vanguard16:59, 26 November 2007 (UTC)
- It's a linguist's thing, like I said. It's very convenient if you're into phonetics, but for most people it might as well be Greek. I remember my first Phonetics lecture quite clearly- I felt quite scared at the thought that I'd have to learn all those symbols and their corresponding sounds by heart! If you feel up to the challenge of learning the IPA that would be cool, but I can totally see why you'd just want to stick to a more simplified version of a pronunciation guide. :) -- Elveh 17:04, 26 November 2007 (UTC)
- I don't mind the thing on the template, it'll just have to be an extra thing. I don't feel like going back to reset all the info again after plugging in a template over it. Vanguard17:08, 26 November 2007 (UTC)
- I can imagine, it's very time-consuming. I'm planning on creating a second template with different shadings per profession, and I'm not looking forward to it. It's something I want to do to get the colours just the way I want them, but I know it's going to take ages to complete. -_-* -- Elveh 17:12, 26 November 2007 (UTC)
- It's funny how when you first take linguistics, you're afraid you're never going to memorize them all, but eventually they become second nature to you (well, at least the ones used in English, anyway). I actually have shirts with IPA on them, and people think they're another language. :D Kokuou 20:06, 26 November 2007 (UTC)
- /agree. Having mastered IPA, I couldn't think of a better, more logical way of explaining pronunciation than by using something as universal as the IPA. :) -- Elveh 21:16, 26 November 2007 (UTC)

Template[edit]
Hello, I am new to wiki and was wondering if I could use your template for my user page? If the answer is no thats fine. Johnny 03:10, 24 January 2008 (UTC)
- Of course you can use my template, I really don't see why not. :) -- Elv 09:40, 24 January 2008 (UTC)
- Thankyou, I put your name in my credits section. :D Johnny 11:35, 25 January 2008 (UTC)
Userpage[edit]
Your userpage looks real weird.. it like stretches way to the left.. ^Teo^ 19:55, 31 January 2008 (UTC)

Hello[edit]
Just browsing, can't even remember how I got to your page, part of that is because I enjoyed it so much and spent a long time here :D . I really loved the descriptions you gave to your characters, it's something I've been meaning to do for mine but never got around to (considering I only just got around to making my userpage after intending to do it months ago might give you a clue how slow I am at adding stuff ;) ). Anyway, I deviate, great work on your page(s) and thank you for making my visit so enjoyable. Draco 06:52, 4 February 2008 (UTC)
- I'm glad that you enjoyed your stay, it's always good to hear that someone appreciated the work you put into your pages. Do let me know when yours are entirely presentable, and I'll definitely have a good look around. :) -- Elv 07:55, 4 February 2008 (UTC)
Heya Elv :)[edit]
Heya, i hope you're fine. Just to tell you i've used your vanquish template tables cause they are very useful and well made. I put your name in the bottom of the page where i used them. Take care. Davor Belegnaur 09:12, 14 June 2008 (UTC)
- To be perfectly fair, I stole the general concept from Gem. All I really did was take out the mapping bits, and make my own ticks (which I see you're not even using). So while I made the modifications to create the table you ended up nabbing, I think it's only fair to credit Gem as well. :)
- I am in fact fine, thank you, and thanks for dropping a line. :) -- Elv 11:52, 14 June 2008 (UTC)
- I added Gem in the credits too and good to see you arround :) Davor Belegnaur 12:11, 14 June 2008 (UTC)

This Page....[edit]
....has not been edited in too long. Anyway, can I come to your corner? Mine is currently full of... other people... — Jon Lupen 21:21, 23 July 2009 (UTC)
- Sure, my corner's always open, and the coffee supply is limitless. :) -- Elv 21:45, 23 July 2009 (UTC)
- Would you happen to have a tea supply? Coffee really isn't my thing. — Jon Lupen 21:50, 23 July 2009 (UTC)
- Yeah, I can arrange that, but you'll have to be careful to stay out of Ward Against Tea, just in case. -- Elv 23:33, 23 July 2009 (UTC)
- I'm a patient man, I'll wait it out. :) — Jon Lupen 15:45, 24 July 2009 (UTC)
- Great! I've had to import some tea from a distant region of Cantha, but I'm told it is of exquisite quality. I'd try it myself, but it would make me melt almost as surely as water does the Wicked Witch of the West. ;) -- Elv 15:54, 24 July 2009 (UTC)
- As long as you don't melt, I think everything will be fine. — Jon Lupen 04:24, 27 July 2009 (UTC)

- We need a container with a very high heat tolerance. Say, you wouldn't happen to have any iron oxide on hand, would you? aluminium is easy to come by. In the name of science of course. — Jon Lupen 17:45, 27 July 2009 (UTC)
- Yeah, should be doable. I know a guy who knows a guy... and I have enough contacts in Big Oil to get the ovens, too... all for the good of science. Of course. -- Elv 18:20, 27 July 2009 (UTC)
- Ok, that's good. I don't think Hank would take kindly to us using his blast furnaces for this. Now I just need some magnesium for the fuse. I have a propane torch on hand, but that would heat the thermite too evenly, the last thing we need is an explosion. One cannot study the effects of an experiment when there are no results left to study after all. — Jon Lupen 18:26, 27 July 2009 (UTC)
- Hmmm, magnesium... yeah, I think I have a guy for that too. The beauty of my business is that hazmats are easily obtained. Anything else we'll need to add to the groceries list? -- Elv 18:51, 27 July 2009 (UTC)

- Oh, win. I'll get some more coffee and tea ready while I wait... :D -- Elv 17:52, 10 August 2009 (UTC)
- Ok, I had to bribe a friend with 50k, but he'll keep the Charr off our backs as long as we need. Meet up with Vael tomorrow at noon. If you can't find him, he will find you. I'll either be at the gates or deep in the pits already. Keep an eye out for puddles and dripping ceilings once your inside the caves. We'll set up shop near the entrance. Transporting Ooze a long distance is not advisable, as they may become unstable and explode on us mid trip. I came across some crates that will keep them stable the rest of the way, but they are big and hard to carry. I'll fill you in on the rest once we meet up tomorrow. Remember, the only way to deal with a mantid is to kill it. Godspeed. — Jon Lupen 14:53, 11 August 2009 (UTC)
