Signature
Hi! I thought I'd mention this before you have time to sign too many pages. According to our signature policy no signature should be kept on a separate page, but it should be specified in the preferences. The policy also states that if you want to use an image in your signature, it should follow the user image naming pattern, and not be bigger than 19x19px. These two rules are to ease up maintenance and to not disrupt the normal textflow with a big image. A good name for a sig image would, for example be "User Ereanor sig.jpg", where the User Ereanor is the part we require of you. If you have any questions, just post them here or on my talk page :) - anja 08:50, 23 September 2007 (UTC)
- Fixed. Thank you.reanor 09:09, 23 September 2007 (UTC)
- Almost Ereanor. Can you re-upload the following images:
- Image:Ereanor-icon.png (GWW:USER violation) re-upload as Image:User Ereanor icon.png
- Image:Ereanorsign.jpg (GWW:SIGN violation) re-upload as Image:User Ereanor sig.jpg
- Both of these images are in violation of current wiki policies on image names. -- (CoRrRan / talk) 22:36, 23 September 2007 (UTC)
- Almost Ereanor. Can you re-upload the following images:

Skill icon image
Hi Ereanor, thanks for helping with the skills. This is just an fyi on how we handle skill icons. Take a look at my edit for Thunderfist Strike. All skill icons redirect to the article to make it convenient when a user clicks on an icon instead of the actual skill name. The {{skill icon tag}} does some auto-categorisation for the icon. Thanks. -- ab.er.rant 05:35, 24 September 2007 (UTC)
Hi. Thanks for helping out with the skills. Remember that you don't need to add them one by one to the improvement project list. You can just add them all at once after being ready for one day. :) -- (gem / talk) 16:01, 24 September 2007 (UTC)
I intended to avoid duplicated work, but know that I think about it, we are too few to bump each other:Preanor 16:05, 24 September 2007 (UTC)
- You won't get to such a situation. If you had already created a skill but hadn't added to the wiki improvement page yet, I still won't go an create that skill but if I navigated to that, I'd see that it's already there. The reason to cut down on the number of edits is actually to see who made what change more easily. -- ab.er.rant 01:37, 25 September 2007 (UTC)
Articles
Please only create articles with content. Empty pages with category + stub could be deleted with Speedy A1 (No appropriate information). Also red links are better than having blue links without any information. poke | talk 23:29, 25 September 2007 (UTC)

I know it's part of the joke, but can you please not impersonate User:V? -- (CoRrRan / talk) 00:07, 21 October 2007 (UTC)
- Hmmm, he doesn't exist?

From Anet with love
Very nice, that's probably the best thing I've seen in days. Does this make Anet Soviets? Calor - talk 18:54, 26 October 2007 (UTC)
images
Images you have uploaded are in violation of the wiki's policies due to image naming, and is therefore up for deletion. Any image that is going to be used only for guild or user pages need to follow a specific naming pattern, to ease maintenance. Please see the image policy. Fall 08:33, 30 October 2007 (UTC)
GWW:SIGN
Your signature currently violates GWW:SIGN. More specifically, the part about having a link to your userpage. Please add a link to your userpage in Special:Preferences.--§ Eloc § 04:04, 9 November 2007 (UTC)

- Foiled again, eh Eloc? -Auron 10:58, 9 November 2007 (UTC)
- Actually the image redirect doesn't qualify, a direct link is required according to policy. Not that I care. -- (gem / talk) 12:06, 9 November 2007 (UTC)
- The policy requires a link, there's no "direct link" especification. Also, the policy says "Do not use color and bold formatting on the same text" and "Keep signatures short, both in display and markup". I just want my signature to be black and bold without making the code too long, unlike Eloc's signature, wich uses bold and color codes on the same text and looks long while editing. The thing is, as Gem said, that it doesn't bother me, so I don't go around stalking ppl.reanor 16:18, 9 November 2007 (UTC)
- The bold + color restriction was basically agreed to be removed on the talk page but no one ever modified the article because we have a larger draft of the policy going on and the change is in that draft. I changed the current policy jsut to make you happy. :) -- (gem / talk) 16:55, 9 November 2007 (UTC)
- And even if you make the text a link you can still have it black and bolded with code, that's not a reason to not have a link. -- (gem / talk) 16:56, 9 November 2007 (UTC)

poke | talk 17:02, 9 November 2007 (UTC) - Eloc's option was shorter but the html wasn't valid, Poke's worked just fine. Thanks guys. And good job Gem fixing that policiy :P We can't have broken policies around considering the strong policy feeling we have here.reanor 17:43, 9 November 2007 (UTC)
Sysops
Just a little hint based on your comment here. I'm not a sysop nor a bureaucrat. -- (gem / talk) 17:28, 11 November 2007 (UTC)
