I was making a rhetorical statement, the topic doesn't really matter, as my statement applies no matter the situation, since certain criteria are satisfied. Those criteria are 1) You are pursuing Shard for some clash of a skill or talent, and 2) There is no indication that Shard particularly gives a damn. Since both of those are obviously taking place, then my original statement stil stands, you only take a negative stance on it because it hits close to home, I suspect.
