Image Naming[edit]

Hi Highlander, images you have uploaded have been tagged for deletion due to improper naming, please see our image policy for proper image naming. Images uploaded for use on your guild page should be named in the following format: guild <guild name> <image name>.<file extension>. For example, the image you uploaded here should be re-uploaded as Guild Born To Be Kings Agente Xunlai.jpg. Also when uploading please select the guild space option under Image Use or manually place {{guild image}} in the Summary field, thanks. --Kakarot Talk 15:13, 9 June 2008 (UTC)

Some clean up ideas[edit]

Hi Higlander! I saw you working on your guild page, and I was bored so I did this. I thought it would give your page a cleaner look to put the information into a table. If you like it, feel free to copy it over.--Wyn's Talk page Wynthyst 09:43, 18 June 2008 (UTC)

I know, I'm a real pest, but I thought you might like this for your guild page. I saw you switched your member list over to a wiki table, so I thought you might be open to more ideas. They all link to the English wiki pages, but it's all still in Italian (I hope I did it right).--Wyn's Talk page Wynthyst 08:42, 23 June 2008 (UTC)

Hmm i do not speak english well (so i hope you'll understnd) and i'm a new user in wiki, so i'm not very expert. The page is under construction and now the page is only a sketch. Your table is very nice but i need a version with description too. I prefere to use images done by me, cause if i use images of other users and they cancel it, my page will have problems...

I don't know if i have to replay here, so i hope you will read this message. :P by Highlander 11:24, 25 June 2008 (UTC+1)

That's fine, I was just trying to help you. The colors you are using are not very user friendly, and I thought it might give you a better overall look to your page, as well as eliminate all the images by replacing it with wiki code rather than html. You may want to read through the guild page policy and the formatting guidelines to see what kinds of things you should and shouldn't be putting on your page. --Wyn's Talk page Wynthyst 09:39, 25 June 2008 (UTC)

I know you was trying to help me (and i thanks you ;)). Certainly i will keep in mind your precious advices. I only need few days to think what to do and how. by Highlander 11:45, 25 June 2008 (UTC+2)

Please feel free to ask if you have any questions. By the way, the images in my table are NOT going to be removed or changed, they are the official icons for those services. If you need to have descriptions of the services, I could add them for you based on your table.--Wyn's Talk page Wynthyst 09:48, 25 June 2008 (UTC)

Ok. I need a table like this with one more column after prices, where i want to insert the description of each service, if that's possible...by Highlander 11:55, 25 June 2008 (UTC+2)

Sure, give me a bit to do it, and I'll post another message.--Wyn's Talk page Wynthyst 09:57, 25 June 2008 (UTC)
Go look at it now. Is that what you want? --Wyn's Talk page Wynthyst 10:42, 25 June 2008 (UTC)
Ok now is perfect. Tyvm by Highlander 14:10, 25 June 2008 (UTC+2)

I've seen just 3 simple errors. Pls replace the wrong sentences with these. tnx

Un venditore che offre tinture a prezzo di mercato seguendo la domanda e l'offerta.

Un venditore che offre, nella Sede della Gilda, rune per potenziare l'armatura a prezzo di mercato (determinato dalla domanda e dall'offerta).

by Highlander 14:15, 25 June 2008 (UTC+2)

Ok, I've corrected those problems, but I have also moved the template page to here in your guild space. You can make corrections to it there if need be :D --Wyn's Talk page Wynthyst 12:23, 25 June 2008 (UTC)

Guild page images[edit]

Hi there. I noticed that you've put quite a few images on your guild page. The purpose of guild pages is to document guilds in the game, and not act like a home page for your guild. As per GWW:GUILD, you may include one or two images, but you should refrain from posting several images, especially large ones. I've flagged your guild page with a {{cleanup}} tag, which you can remove once your guild page complies with our policy. I realize you don't speak English very well, so I hope you understand me. Otherwise, is there anyone here who can translate into Italian? Thanks! Kokuou 12:47, 23 July 2008 (UTC)

Ok I'll cancel all new images. by Highlander 14:58, 23 July 2008 (UTC+2)

I don't understand completely what the boxes on the top of the page want to say me.
However i undestand that there is something wrong cause they speak about delection.
Can someone tell me what i have to change? by Highlander 15:08, 23 July 2008 (UTC+2)

white guild page images[edit]

I noticed you uploaded them to be used as placeholder. You could also make use of {{Placeholder}} instead. —ZerphatalkThe Improver 12:51, 23 July 2008 (UTC)

Ok I cancelled all new images. by Highlander 16:27, 23 July 2008 (UTC+2)

Use preview + minor edits[edit]

It hides all the spam you put on the recent changes list when you edit the same page 5 times in a row. ~Shard User Shard Sig Icon.png 06:56, 24 July 2008 (UTC)

Can you specify what is spam? The images i cancelled? And why my page is still candidate for delection? What i have to change? Tnx by Highlander 9:17, 24 July 2008 (UTC+2)
When you make +2 kb edits over and over and over and over and over again, it spams the recent changes list. You don't have to preview (the admins will tell you to), but at least use minor edit for tiny changes. The recent changes list was 50% you earlier. ~Shard User Shard Sig Icon.png 11:15, 24 July 2008 (UTC)
I'm sorry but i didn't know there was a problem of edits. However i don't think the problem is that, cause it say:
"This Guild article does not meet the standards set in our formatting section. This example guild page can help you to see what information guild pages should include." ecc... However tnx for your reply by Highlander 13:23, 24 July 2008 (UTC+2)
This is different. My complaint is about edit spam. Please use minor edits and preview before making changes.
You might want to ask User:Kokuou why he tagged your guild page. ~Shard User Shard Sig Icon.png 11:29, 24 July 2008 (UTC)

(Reset indent) Show preview is your friend. Please don't neglect him. --JonTheMon 15:03, 20 November 2008 (UTC)

Guild page fixes[edit]

I created 2 subpages for your guild and placed the information you removed on them, and linked them from your main page. All your member information is on one, and the guild hall pictures are on the other. I wasn't sure what else you had removed since my Italian is MUCH worse than your English. But I removed the cleanup tag (which you could have done yourself). --Wyn's Talk page Wyn 15:46, 24 July 2008 (UTC)

I didn't know that i could create many pages related with principal. It was simple but nobody said me that -.-"
However now i transfered all that i canceled on the principal page to my website, so i don't risk to lost all in the future.
Thank you very much Wyn. ^_^
Highlander 18:08, 24 July 2008 (UTC+2)
You don't want the member page? that's too bad, it was nicely done :( if you don't want it, you need to place a {{delete}} tag on it so it can be deleted, and not left just orphaned.--Wyn's Talk page Wyn 16:37, 24 July 2008 (UTC)

User Page[edit]

I want to create my user page and those of my characters. I need to know if i can use templates of other users or if i must have their permission.
O Highlander O 09:23, 30 July 2008 (UTC+2)

You can use other user's templates, just give them credit. Also make sure you don't change their templates, unless you copy them to your own space first.--Wyn's Talk page Wyn 07:59, 30 July 2008 (UTC)
I will use your template. It's very nice. Tell me how i have to give you credit. O Highlander O 11:51, 03 August 2008 (UTC+2)
To give credit, just add a note at the bottom.. or some people use a 'thanks to' box... --Wyn's Talk page Wyn 10:17, 3 August 2008 (UTC)
Hi Highlander Immortal, I noticed you used my mission template as a basis for your own which is fine but I wanted to let you know that the way you currently have it; or rather some of the code that you removed; makes the 5 parameters (prophecies, factions, nightfall, gwen, and dungeons) unnecessary as they were used for the collapsible/expandable functionality. If you do not require that functionality I could remove some of the redundant code for you if you want. Oh and also since I'm here if it's not too much trouble do you mind including a note crediting me for the original template, perhaps in a similar way to how I have done for the original design? --Kakarot Talk 22:18, 22 November 2008 (UTC)
Yes, you can remove redundant code. I will add a note crediting you. Remember that it's all under construction and i don't understand well both wiki code and english. I'm trying to learn as fast as possible taking inspiration or copying and modifying others templates. So i need some days to adjust all templates i'm "creating" for my principal character. Highlander Immortal 15:38, 23 November 2008 (UTC)
Ok I've taken out the redundant coding and parameters since as I mentioned before it added collapsibility to the template that you weren't using and had already partially removed; it didn't end up being as much as I had originally thought; you can see exactly what I did on this revision. Also thanks for adding the note, if you ever have a question either regarding templates or wiki coding in general feel free to leave me a message on my talk page and I'll see what I can do :) --Kakarot Talk 02:04, 24 November 2008 (UTC)

Cleaning up links[edit]

[1] there is no white template, you only need to type in the name of the color tho. Sorry for intruding just trying to clean up wanted pages links. — Seru User Seru Sig2.png Talk 19:50, 12 October 2009 (UTC)

There i don't need a border and i need a white background Highlander Immortal 08:01, 15 October 2009 (UTC)
Pls stop modifying pages of my characters... Highlander Immortal 08:09, 15 October 2009 (UTC)
Because you undid my edit here, I'd like to point out that there is no black template, so you shouldn't use it. I didn't see that someone did the same with the (also not existing) white template, but if you still want a white background and no border, you should specify "white" (without the quotes) for both. This way you will still have a white background and a white border, but you won't see the border, because it the background has the same colour. --Amakiir 16:37, 20 June 2010 (UTC)
Because you changed the background from white to grey :) Why don't you see what you do? I need no-background there and no border Highlander Immortal 05:54, 23 June 2010 (UTC)
I saw what I did there. But the word "black" used there indicated that you want a black background (and a black border, too). However, if the background is black, one can hardly read what is written in the box. That's why I decided for grey.
Anyway, I now removed the black template and replaced it with white. I hope that's the way you want it. :) --Amakiir 14:51, 23 June 2010 (UTC)
Next time, however, do not change anything without permission... Wait for the approval of who created the code. Highlander Immortal 16:29, 25 June 2010 (UTC)

White template[edit]

Your character templates use {{white}}, but that does exactly the same thing as typing white (i.e. 5 letters instead of 9). With your permission, I'd like to replace all your uses of the template with the non-template, white. (This allows use to remove the template or use it similarly to {{orange}} or {{gray}}).

Thanks. — Tennessee Ernie Ford (TEF) 22:15, 1 June 2011 (UTC)

I don't know what you did, but the page is not like i want now. Restore changes please. You said "With your permission...", please next time first wait my permission, then modify if i say "yes". Thanks Highlander Immortal 07:04, 4 June 2011 (UTC)
Look again; I didn't change anything. I am still waiting for your permission to change the two uses of {{white}} to white. Thanks. — Tennessee Ernie Ford (TEF) 08:21, 4 June 2011 (UTC)
Ok let me see what you want to do... However i see 2-3 important differences: table WAS aligned at centre (now is on the left with firefox), name of my characters was combined (now wraps), and it seems there are some differences in the table structure too. Really don't know if you done it or someone else, cause 2 days ago was all ok :O Highlander Immortal 07:49, 8 June 2011 (UTC)
I'm not sure what you are seeing; when I checked the page histories a few days ago, I couldn't see that anyone but you had made any updates.
Let me know when you are ready for me to make the changes. Thanks. — Tennessee Ernie Ford (TEF) 08:02, 8 June 2011 (UTC)
(Edit conflict) Please review the revision history of your user page prior to accusing users of modifying the contents of your user page. The "history" button exists on every page in the wiki, and shows a chronological display of edits made, who those edits were made by, and even allows you to compare the changes made.
What TEF is requesting is simply to change references to Template:White on pages located in your user space to the word "white", itself. It will have literally no effect on your pages at all. This is being done because Template:White is being deleted due to redundancy.
In some cases, I believe TEF takes common courtesy a little too far - there will be no changes to the appearance of any of your pages, and yet acquiring your permission (the permission of a user who doesn't even know how to use the "history" button, at that), is inhibiting the progress of removing a redundant template.
I'm going to make the imposed changes, and show you the differences between my changes and the pre-existing contents of the page. If you find that something visually changes, feel free to press the "undo" button to revert my changes.
However, keep in mind that Template:White is going to be deleted in the near future, and any references you may have to this template will no longer be functional.
In short, if you decide to undo my changes, there will be a visual difference in your pages.
Cheers, User Ryuu R.jpgRyuu  *bite* 08:04, 8 June 2011 (UTC)

(Reset indent) Here is all the changes I made which replace {{white}} with simply white. As you can plainly see, there are no visual differences on any of the pages; [2] [3] [4] [5] [6] [7] [8] [9]
Your cooperation in this matter is greatly appreciated,
Have a nice day. User Ryuu R.jpgRyuu  *bite* 08:17, 8 June 2011 (UTC)

I'm really sorry for the charges. Initially, I did not understand what you meant you. I had a bad past experience with someone else who has changed my page without permission. Furthermore, the aesthetics of the page has really changed two days ago, so I thought that was you the guilty. I am sorry for the misunderstanding.
When "It will have literally no effect on your pages at all" feel free to modify without permission. Highlander Immortal 10:44, 9 June 2011 (UTC)
P.S. Thank you Ryuu for visual differences :)
