Thanks for posting your research[edit]

Thanks for taking the time to do the research and especially for posting it here (or is it especially for doing the research?). — Tennessee Ernie Ford (TEF) 19:14, 30 June 2011 (UTC)

Both. :D. No problem, I like bug research, especially when it has to do with statistics :D. User Judas Sig.pngudas 19:18, 30 June 2011 (UTC)

Other testing[edit]

Could you test a 30AR + 15AR source? I'm curious to see how having 1 armor source over the cap and 1 under that cap combine with CA. If you don't want to, i can test myself later. --JonTheMon 19:32, 30 June 2011 (UTC)

That is essentially the same as +43 and +10 armor that I tested in the chart (Armor of Earth + Armor of Mist). User Judas Sig.pngudas 19:35, 30 June 2011 (UTC)
Hmm, that is true... Lemme think about it a bit more, lol. --JonTheMon 19:37, 30 June 2011 (UTC)
For completeness sake I tested the breakpoint of 45 armor. I used +31 AR from Armor of Earth and +14 / +16 AR from Armor of Mist. At +45 armor (+14 Mist), Cracked Armor still functioned properly, and lowered my armor to +25. At +47 armor (+16 Mist), Cracked Armor didn't work, and my additional armor was +31. Conclusion: only over +45 armor is Cracked Armor broken, at +45 itself it's still functional. User Judas Sig.pngudas 19:43, 30 June 2011 (UTC)
That's so weird, but the numbers work out. --JonTheMon 19:44, 30 June 2011 (UTC)
Yep. Just for future reference and reproducibility, testing with 60 base armor against Lightning Orb at 100 damage (Master of Lightning): at 31+14=45 armor I took 95 damage, and at 31+16=47 armor I took 87 damage. 95 damage corresponds with 105 armor being cracked to 85 armor and then lowered to 63 armor by armor penetration. 87 damage, however, corresponds with Cracked Armor not working, giving me 91 armor (60+31), which is lowered to 68 armor by armor penetration.
