Wait, so you're saying that elemental resistance @ 12 (40 - 14 = 26) doesn't have any penalty at all? And would the same hold true to ER @ 0 + Armor of Salvation? (40 - 24 + 10 = 26) --JonTheMon 12:56, 1 July 2011 (UTC)

er, nevermind, it's early in the morning lol. I'll ponder this further. --JonTheMon 12:57, 1 July 2011 (UTC)
Different armor values for elemental and physical :) User Judas Sig.pngudas 12:58, 1 July 2011 (UTC)
What would be cool is if you could have 2 stances, then having both ER and PR would give you +40 for physical and elemental, canceling out each other's penalties :D (@ 12 of course). User Judas Sig.pngudas 12:59, 1 July 2011 (UTC)
Does ER/PR penalty occur before or after the armor cap? Also, if a single source that goes over the cap is combined with a lesser source and then you also add ER/PR what happens? Like, say 30AL + 15 AL - 10AL? Does it take 45 - 10 and then leave it at 35 AL or cap it at 25? Or does it take 30 - 10 and leave you at 20? --JonTheMon 13:34, 1 July 2011 (UTC)
Neither :D. All +armor is added together. In this case 30+15=45. Then ER/PR check to see if their penalty will lower that bonus to +25 or lower. In this case, -10 will lower +45 to +35, so not low enough. This means the penalty from ER/PR does not function. Now the armor cap comes into play, and lowers the +armor to +30 (the highest single effect). User Judas Sig.pngudas 13:38, 1 July 2011 (UTC)

Healing signet[edit]

Willing to check out other skills that decrease armor? --JonTheMon 15:25, 1 July 2011 (UTC)

I have tested 4: Healing Signet, Barbed Arrows and Elemental and Physical Resistance. I believe the only other skill that reduces armor is Shadowy Burden. I have not tested that yet, but it is on my list. But first I'm writing a couple of articles. I'll get around to it soon though. User Judas Sig.pngudas 15:40, 1 July 2011 (UTC)
No rush. just curious. --JonTheMon 15:53, 1 July 2011 (UTC)
In case you are still curious, I tested Shadowy Burden today. Pretty difficult to test all the factors. Luckily I have two accounts so I could scrimmage to control both armor and damage parameters. Shadowy Burden acts like Healing Signet and Barbed Arrows, subtracting its armor penalty after all calculations. I also found two new skills to test that decrease armor, Aggressive Refrain and Soldier's Fury. In the meantime, my research on categories of skill bonuses and penalties is here.
