User talk:Jujin/Minimalus UI Mod
I think this page is valid under this policy that states "The Guild Wars Wiki retains information on any tools that players use in-game (such as voice chat)." so pls dont delete thx :P ~ Jujin talk 22:46, 14 February 2015 (UTC)
- well this is in a way just like all of the other texmod UI enhancement skins. This should be in the userspace + all the files should be prefixed by "User Jujin <filename>". -Chieftain Alex 23:44, 14 February 2015 (UTC)
- I don't agree. It is a tool that players use in-game. It is fully relevant to Guild Wars, its community, and in-game play. Other mods don't have their own pages because they never thought to do so. Where is the policy or anything that disputes the validity of this page? ~ Jujin talk 23:53, 14 February 2015 (UTC)
- This isn't any different to User:Atmu/@µ's clear line UI, User:Farlo/IGMM and User:Pyron Sy/Cartography Made Easy - all of which are found within the user namespace, and are clearly linked from Player-made Modifications/GUI Index (find this page by typing "texmod" in the top corner + clicking on the link at the top of the page). All listed tools (legal and bannable) are found within this listing. -Chieftain Alex 23:59, 14 February 2015 (UTC)
- The one thing which the Voice chat, Textmod and the Wine pages do is that they talk about the concepts of the applications at a basic level, which can be vetted by any community member. The pages then link to further options with further details (either found off the wiki or in a location more suited for TLC). Since I as a community member would not be able to vet many details about your mod (it looks great btw), nor have any nice way to properly maintain the page, it really does become your work of passion. As such it does suit being in your User space rather than the Main space. G R E E N E R 07:13, 16 February 2015 (UTC)
Improvement suggestion[edit]
First of all, wonderful work. Thank you for bringing something new and functional to this game. I was thinking of a little improvement you can do to this UI: markers on the life bars to mark 90-75-50-33-25% of total life. That would be very useful for both veterans and noobs to be sure when to use certain skills like "FH!" or AP. The only issue i can see with this improvement is that when someone is under the effect of Deep Wound those markers become useless, otherwise they would really be awesome in this kind of UI.-- Darigaaz (Talk) 14:47, 21 March 2015 (UTC)
- Ok, this is a great suggestion. See, I tried making a 50% tic on the health bar before, but this was back when I was first starting to make Minimalus. The 50% tic ended up not working, like it streched out really wide and didn't look right, and I couldn't really figure out how to do it. But I could probably look into creating something like that now that I have so much more experience. Will likely update soon w/ tic option. Might just do the 50% for cleanliness Jujin talk 19:27, 15 April 2015 (UTC)
- The energy or XP bar might benefit also. A 25%/50%/75% would be cleaner; how many skills/builds are reliant on exact numbers? --Falconeye (talk) 07:40, 16 April 2015 (UTC)
- So I have gotten several requests now for a 50/75% health bar tic and I really hear you guys, but I have tried like 100000 times and I just can't figure it out!! I just tried it today and ran into the same problem as always. Every time I try to add a 1px vertical line tic to the 0xD1714A21 texture (health bar outline texture) which I know from uMod extractions that other modders use for this trick, it just stretches out horizontally like a smear on the health bar rather than a clean 1px tic. If anyone wants to try using Texmod to extract the 0xD1714A21 texture then mod it in Photoshop to add a tic that works, I will GLADLY add it into Minimalus. Be sure to send it to me in .dds format. Don't forget your alpha layers!!!! UHGH GH UGH UGHU HGU HGU HGU HUGH UGH thanks for understanding! ~ Jujin talk 06:55, 25 April 2015 (UTC)

Hi, thanks for this superb skin! Recently I made some tweaks to it for my personal use, but I figure other people might find it useful too. Would you mind if I shared my "addon" to your mod on Player-made_Modifications/GUI_Index? -- kazerniel (talk) 02:18, 7 June 2020 (UTC)
