Images

I have moved the image "Ebon Vanguard Sniper" to the File:User Killer demon Ebon Vanguard Sniper.jpg, tagged unneeded redirects (if nothing directs there, there's no need for a redirect) and have changed the link for the Crippling Shot (EotN) to remove the redirect. Images for your userspace, should be uploaded using the correct naming format (stated in GWW:IMAGE and GWW:USER) such as File:User Killer demon example name.jpg. Why do you need the redirects? The NPC and Skill infobox both have an image parameter. Add (example):

Salome, did the attacks continue after Thrain's request/warning to stop? Going over the contribs, I disagree with the block for personal attacks. The attacks themselves were fairly mild, and regardless a warning was given and Killer demon apologised. There are a few spammy contribs, but nothing drastic or persistent enough to require a block. That's your privilege to disagree Pling. However when he called Boggy an idiot, GWW:NPA was mentioned to him. Then 4 hours later he went ahead and called another user an idiot for a comment upon armour. Neither points were the culmination of a debate which had got out of hand, they were just unprovoked personal attacks because he felt like he was having a bad day. I personally don't feel the wiki is the best place to take out your frustrations of the day and a block for breach of NPA was deserved in this instance imho. In my opinion the first instance was enough of a chance to get him to stop, he didnt and thus the second random attack went across the line and deserved the ban. As always however Pling I will be lead by consensus and if the other sysops agree via consensus that a block for breaching NPA twice in 4 hours is not warranted, then I would gladly reduce/remove the applied block. I also suggest that if you wish to discuss this with me further that we take it to my talk page. As for my block description, the reasoning of personal attacks was referenced with the addition of advice to return to the wiki when he felt like contributing in a none aggressive manner. If you would like however I could reapply the block for now and change the block description to more formal wording. EDIT: also just as a point of reference in the past 200 edits he's broken NPA clearly 4 times. (I normally check the last 200 edits before applying any block so I can discern the general editing style of the user in question, I am however aware that his last 200 edits span a years worth of contributions for this particular editor) -- Salome 23:30, 26 January 2010 (UTC)

The IP gets blocked with the user account at the same time, as standard. The aim of a block is to prevent the user from editing for a period of time, not to prevent that particular account from editing for a period of time. If you are asking why you got banned please see above. As you will see my explanation to Pling. Okay I've checked your IP's and honestly I'm not sure what you are talking about. According to the block log, since your account was blocked their have only been 3 users blocked, only 1 of which was an IP account. That IP was blocked for 3 days for link spamming. Unless that was you, (which I don't think it was) then honestly mate, not sure what you are on about. I can look into it further if you wish. However when a user's account is blocked, the attached IP is blocked with it at the same time as standard. What IP did you use, that way I can cross check for you and maybe work out what happened in that instance. I have used check user and couldn't correlate the IP's in this instance. Although to be honest it doesn't matter that much as both the IP and the user account blocks expired at the same time. Also if a user is blocked on their user account, they shouldn't be editing from a separate account or IP either as that would be a breach of our policies, as it's circumventing an existing block. (which is bad)

As for you being banned, 4 clear and direct NPA breaches in 200 edits is a bad track record for any user. In that time you have called users a moron, a jerk and two users an idiot. The first two times you were let off without even a warning, the third time NPA was mentioned to you and yet 4 hours later you went ahead and broke it again. Each time these breaches of our policy have been unprovoked and thus their isn't even a degree of mitigation in them. The wiki is not the place to vent your frustrations about the day by attacking other users. I'm sorry you don't agree with that, but you do have to abide by our policies if you wish to retain your editing privileges. You are more than welcome to debate issues with other users, but in the future please keep those debates clear of personal attacks. -- Salome 10:35, 30 January 2010 (UTC)

Autoblocks (when a user's IP is blocked along with an account automatically) don't show up in block logs - in the Special:IPBlockList, only an ID number such as #15991 comes up rather than the actual IP address, so it's impossible for you to have seen your IP there (unless you mean you saw the ID number there; however, it won't be there now that the block has expired). The block log doesn't show an IP of yours being blocked. If think you saw your IP on a list of blocked users, you're most likely mistaken. However, as Salome says, it's standard for an IP to be automatically blocked by the software along with a user account, so there wasn't anything wrong. Also, you're able to edit now, so it's a moot point.

Killer Demon, you need to stop reacting angrily. Acting in this way might only lead to a further block. If you feel yourself getting in a state of rage, close the wiki and do something else until you're feeling rational enough to return. -- pling 14:23, 30 January 2010 (UTC)

IW

Regarding Malicious Strike: yes, it can be used and IW won't be removed. However, you don't actually hit anything while enchanted with IW (it makes all your attacks miss, it deals a certain amount of damage instead), so you won't benefit from using it. The bonus damage won't trigger, nor will it result in a critical hit.

Regarding Dark Escape: if you use it while using IW, it won't end.

Assassin's Remedy will work, however that is the only benefit you will get from using attack skills...

Cool off period

Take a couple of hours to calm down. It doesn't work when you acknowledge my statement that you need to take a step back and swear at someone in the same edit. Feel free to type whatever you want, but think very long and hard before hitting the save page button. It could save you a lot of trouble. I'm going to bed now, I hope you conduct yourself in a suitable manner upon your return. If anyone is giving you trouble when you get back, instead of going off at them, point it out to me and I will deal with it. (Edit conflict) For if you come back: this site has concequenses for raging, disruption and personal assaults, which count for everybody, even with in your case Asperger's or something related. This may sound hard, but please understand that otherwise people would abuse it. The rules are also here, because we can't check if its true or not.

All the things said in other sections wasn't ment for any form of discrimination towards you, but just because like I said above, we can't check if someone lies or not.

If you have some problems with your temper, try to withdraw them from the wiki, try to release them on another way or on another place. I think both the community and you feel better with that. You see that people offered some help in different kind of ways, sometimes its good to take it, and will it help you on a longer term.

Please understand that Im not trying to insult you on any way, I just want to make things clear, without a lot of people passing by. You must decide by yourself if you do something with it, but understand that the rules on this place don't bow for an uncheckable situation.
