Very clean and stylish userpage, well done! :) - Ander01 22:42, 15 January 2011 (UTC)
- Thanks! ^^ I take pride in how my page looks now that it's generally completed. You're welcome to use it too if you wish, its on my templates' page, under Character/Character info.--Neithan Diniem 10:28, 16 January 2011 (UTC)
- I know you take Pride in it Neithan. I'm currently in the processes again on using your templates. alot of work on my end on reading the code and making it work. question though, how do you get the character icon to redirect to the same character? Ocren 10:32, 16 January 2011 (UTC)
- Click on the icon and go to it's page and go into edit mode. Then add: #redirect [[User:Ocren|<subpage name>]]. Add that to the very beginning of the page, anywhere else and it wont work right. That will redirect anyone clicking that image to the page you want them to be at. Also, if you have any q's bout my templates, feel free to ask, I can talk you through or help you code it even. If you want any changes to the template I can do that too, wouldn't be a problem.--Neithan Diniem 22:55, 16 January 2011 (UTC)
- thanks, Now the problem I'm having is changing the back ground. I would assume I go to the background color portion in the code to the color I want?Ocren 23:56, 16 January 2011 (UTC)
- I figured out how to change the background color, nice touchOcren 04:39, 17 January 2011 (UTC)
- Yea, got home late, Ill try to work on templating the navbar thing later. Sorry bout not being here to answer you before, but it is good that you figured it out on your own, promotes understanding ^^. Any more q's , just ask.--Neithan Diniem 06:27, 17 January 2011 (UTC)
- Okay, heres the question, Signature. How did you make one? by the looks of it you created a image of the signature then in the preferences you have it accessed?
- just thought of something. for ease of use, couldn't you make your hero table the same way you did your completion guide and then when you have things full, put in the 1 or 2. 1 = yes, 2 = no? be alot of code I agree, but then it would help clean up your page in the coding?Ocren 08:09, 17 January 2011 (UTC)
- Well, you can find everything about signatures here. My sig is a link to my userpage with the username font changed to my preferences, followed by my sig image (19px size limit) that links to my talk page. You can customize your signature any way you like as long as it follows the rules. As for my hero table, that page was a somewhat failed project. It was suposed to hold all my hero builds, but I have yet to take the time and post em. Also, yea I could set it up that way, and the coding wouldn't be a problem. I'll look into it, just in case you or any other user wants to use it. BTW, its a good idea to watch all your userspace pages, so as to know if anyone else fiddles with them without your knowledge. Vandals do pop in now and then, especially if you irk someone in a talk page or whatnot. Just a lil tip.--Neithan Diniem 17:18, 17 January 2011 (UTC)
- Just remembered why I didn't try to template my hero recruitment page. Due to the varied number of characters a person could have, templating it would be very difficult as it currently is. However, you did get me to think of a way to do it. I'll try it out if I get time, college work and all today.--Neithan Diniem 17:33, 17 January 2011 (UTC)
- Finished it for now. After I fully template it, Im going to try to make it knowledgeable of how many characters it can track for, up to 10 probably, as well as customize the character tabs. I'll throw that in later when I get free time.--Neithan Diniem 18:40, 17 January 2011 (UTC)
- that I'll do, the watch page it all. and thanks for all the help. Hope to see you in game :) Ocren 04:56, 18 January 2011 (UTC)
Feedback space[edit]
Have you even looked at how the feedback space is set up? There are 108 total categories/subcategories available for GW suggestions. Adding more is NOT going to solve any issue. The only thing that would solve any perceived organizational problems is users who use it properly. -- Wyn talk 16:01, 12 March 2011 (UTC)
- My suggestion for subcategories flows more into the GW2 space, not so much the GW1 space. Could more subs be made for GW1? Probably, but better description for what goes into said categories would help those who are lost as to where their suggestion goes. As for GW2, subcategories don't even exist yet, so stuff is getting all jumbled into one big pot that is getting quite full. We know a lot more than we did about the game than we did when the feedback space was made, so subcategories could probably be made to help organize the feedback space. We know the most of the professions and races, quite a bit of the lore of the world, tons of mechanics bits, and more, so subs shouldn't be too hard to add in for the broader categories.--Neithan Diniem 18:25, 12 March 2011 (UTC)
- GW2 suggestions are just fantasy wish lists... obviously the system will be expanded once the game is released, but until then I don't see any point. -- Wyn talk 01:34, 13 March 2011 (UTC)
Wanted by Shining Blade template[edit]
Hi. I just had an idea about the borked sort order on the War Supplies column in the Wanted by the Shining Blade page. Can you cheat and make it sort by the value in the gold column instead? I took a look at the template and copied it to my sandbox to play with but my wiki-fu is not adequate. - Robdalf 00:58, 21 August 2011 (UTC)
- I took a look into it, and it seems I was calling the wrong variables to be added in the template. It fixed the values that were less than ten, but now the three values equal to ten are messed up. Ill keep trying to figure it out.—Neithan Diniem 01:01, 30 August 2011 (UTC)
