Role-Playing[edit]
Hi, It's Kuulpb, and I was wondering, would you mind Role-Playing a Mission in-game with me and some other role-players if I can get them? Also If you want a guide of the type of role-playing I mean, then just go to my User Page. "User:Kuulpb" Kuulpb 17:07, 25 March 2012 (UTC)

- Wow, great pages Vanguard. I think Kuulpb was just using that as an example. My biggest issue --at the moment-- is people who hang out in the game trolling religion and politics. :P Don't get me wrong, I have my beliefs, but I would not go off on people in game chat hoping to make friends that way. :( I had someone in Ascalon say, "it is all bushes fault" (spelled that way). Since I was Azurial, at the time, I replied, "I agree with you, I think the trees are in on it too. That is why I have been burning the bushes and trees.". But they never seem to get my humor. Azurial left presearing a few days ago and is in Old Asacalon now. She made some comments on her very first visit. She stated the Xunlai chests are great, better than the blood soak box she had kept her items inside. She remarked that so little has been done to rebuild the town in the past 2 years, but she can't recall anything she did either, so that makes us even. Like you, I have also made history on my characters. One such history is Su Doku Jedi, I was going to say that his father was in the Second Great Corsair War but then looking at the timeline his father would be 80 or 90 years old, so I said grandfather instead. Just to make sure I didn't step on any die hard GW fans toes. I try my best to find any "official" game history but most of the time, it is just not there. Something else I am doing is naming the nameless places such as I did with the catacombs. Maybe with your help we can find 3 places to name the official meeting place for RP in all the Guild Wars games.--Wendy Black 20:25, 25 March 2012 (UTC)

As for backstories, I give myself a bit of leeway because of the pure lack of actual roleplay in this game. Vanguard, I would love to do a RP mission with you then, and see how you RP, because so far, i have only seen the " What Happens Next" RP, but guild wars isn't like that, the storyline is constant. Help? Kuulpb 18:16, 26 March 2012 (UTC)
- Actually I think we have conflicting styles. Most of my RP begins in conversation form - even in heroic stories, the heroes -meet- before they go off and adventure together. And I even have an entire questline based around my ranger, which does include using some missions to facilitate the RP, but not all of it. Basically, my RP is reactionary, in a way. In my Opinion atleast Role-playing means, Acting out what happens in a characters story, like Dungeons and Dragons or Fantasy Hero. RPG is apparently now any game that lets you create you're character in some way, be it look , name or abilites. Guild wars does all this , but i feel it lacks people who role-play ingame, such as ...

This would be a " Made-up" on the spot conversation, NOT written and copied, literally what you think your character would say, such as:
Althea is a 46 Year-old Woman who has the personality of an innocent child. This would mean she would easily be scared and in Awe by a lot of things, while a grown-up acting character may not.

- Just clear paths to the area we go to, no need to waste hours only to RP in a certain spot for a few minutes. Not sure why you copy/pasted half your userpage on my talk page, though. Also, why is a 46 year old acting like a child? My own mother is a few years above that and she has worldly experience while still being 'bubbly'-- anguard 18:55, 27 March 2012 (UTC)
