Templates

Hey, not to be a bother, but templates in the mainspace have to be related to stuff in the mainspace. If you want a template for your characters, you'd have to do it in a subpage of your's. --JonTheMon 17:44, 4 November 2008 (UTC)

No problem, but could you tell me how to link stuff up?

Sure. Let's say you have a page for your characters (User:XxGw2xX/Characters) on that page you could have a bunch of templates, one for each of your characters. On that page you could put a character template (User:XxGw2xX/Characters/Pk Elve) by using {{User:XxGw2xX/Characters/Pk Elve}} on your main character page. Menu

To quote: 'How do you get the different subjects on your main page? Like "Characters", "Contributions" and "Templates".'

First off I created a page (user:username/navbar) or something along those line (could be /menu instead). Then copied the code for a navigation bar off someone else, edited the images, colours, links, etc.

Then it's just a case of adding {{user:username/navbar}} in all the pages you wish it to show. I personally made another template to write the whole page design which writes it for me, but that is extra, and only if you've got some confidence in coding. Here's what my menu looks like away from the page feel free to hit edit, and copy and paste the code into your own thing, then just change the links, it shouldn't be too difficult.
