Release[edit]

What happens when you release a pet into your collection? Can you go back later and charm it again? If so, you could charm-->release-->charm and repeat for the 100 gold... |NalanaUser Nalana Darkling santa.jpgDarkling| 18:32, 26 April 2009 (UTC)

You only get the 100 gold if you charm it outside the menagerie.--Pyron Sy 18:34, 26 April 2009 (UTC)
yes thanks, i was just about to cross out my question after re-reading his description. |NalanaUser Nalana Darkling santa.jpgDarkling| 18:59, 26 April 2009 (UTC)

Dialogue[edit]

Seems there are just minor differences between the dialogues...

Is this pet in my collection yet?
{hero}
Look at <hero name>'s pet.

You've already added this level of <pet evolution and type> to your collection.

For a nominal fee, we can get you more levels and evolutions of this pet, but you'll have to see Helena, the Zaishen Keeper to set that up.

(hero)
If <hero name> would like to tame a new pet, we can take the Pet - <pet evolution/type> and release it into the menagerie. Do you want release <hero name>'s Pet - <pet evolution/type>?

Yes, I really do. / No, I've reconsidered.

Character and hero ones are identical. Do we really need to keep both "sections"? --NIN37 14:17, 11 May 2009 (UTC)

Meh... Guild Wars Wiki:Be bold... Changed it, if anyone else thinks it is strange, go on and fix it up. :P
BTW, "partially evolved" could mean either evolution (aggressive, playful) or level (12 or above). Yeah, I know a level 3 dire pet would make no sense...
A "level 15 Elder Wolf" pet would be referred as "level 15 Elder Wolf", while a "level 15 Aggressive Wolf" would be referred as "evolved level 15 Aggressive Wolf". Might be worth adding that info to the dialogue, but I guess I've already messed around too much for today. :P --NIN37 14:47, 11 May 2009 (UTC)

i changed the dialogue for hero companions from "(pet removed)" to "(pet removed, gain 100 Gold for level 20 pets from the wild)". it implied you don't get gold for a hero's pet that is level 20 and from the wild.

Possible bug?[edit]

When I ask her to look at my level 10 wolf, nothing happens; the dialogue ends. I've tried this repeatedly, with and without Charm Animal equipped (with Comfort Animal, of course), and nothing seems to affect it. I've checked with the animal trainer, too, and the wolf isn't unlocked on my account. Has anyone else had this problem? --RoyHarmon 14:41, 25 September 2009 (UTC)

I'm sat here with 2 friends and one of them can't hand over his lv 20 Elder Crab on his account, but Emryd is working fine for my Ranger in my own instance. So it is possible there is something bugged, but randomly for certain players/pets Magua 21:17, 29 October 2010 (UTC)
I have the same problem with my lvl 10 wolf. The dialog simply ends. --217.230.53.177 08:50, 22 March 2011 (UTC)
Can confirm this is a bug. I had a wolf from pre-searing Ascalon. Talked to Emryd to take my pet and the dialogue window closed after clicking "Is this pet in my collection yet". So I went to Jarrel the Tamer outside Old Ascalon and it worked. Anyone having issues with Emryd, try visiting any of the Pet tamers from the other continents. Wolcott (talk) 15:02, 27 June 2023 (UTC)
