Anomaly[edit]

It isn't really much of an anomaly, the reason it doesn't have a long aftercast is because it's an enchantment. --Vinria Karok 00:33, 19 July 2007 (UTC)

that, plus its kinda sorta like a stance, considering the speed boost it gives. makes no sense to have too big of an aftercast delay for a speed boost.
Maybe it is not an "anomaly", but the shorter aftercast should be mentioned, it is part of the charm of this skill. --Longasc 21:19, 16 February 2008 (UTC)

Uses[edit]

This is a rather versatile enchantment. I use it for scraping the map, hasty retreats, or instead of inferno (which has the same cost, and an aftercast delay). A combination I have also used is mark of Rodgort, burning speed, and then this one, followed by searing flames, and a very quick retreat. It's a suicidal charge, but timed well it does a massive amount of PBAoE damage. Gwynna Vive 07:50, 28 July 2007 (UTC)

This skill is the best running skill in game period. It belongs to one of the most valuable attributes and most played in Guild Wars, has an extremely long duration and can even be recast before it ends, an enchantment spell so it can serve as a cover enchantment or additional enchantment to benefit from having multiple ones on you such as mystic regeneration, this skill also frees you up to use a stance, and high aoe damage that can cause other players to 'back off' from attacking you while running. Over all the best skill for running and moving around quick in pvp and belongs to the least supportive attribute and is even better than the running buffs in the other attributes of elementalist.Highway Man 07:47, 2 February 2008 (UTC)

finally...[edit]

25% would have been enough already all the time imo —ZerphatalkThe Improver 07:38, 16 February 2008 (UTC)

This skill definatlly needed the nerf considering that you can keep it up almost indefinatlly and is even better than a lot of the ranger stances (you can remove the enchantment but just know that in ten seconds they can recast it up).William Wallace 23:26, 17 February 2008 (UTC)

Hm... not so sure about it as being a viable running skill anymore. You need to have almost max fire magic AND hit an enemy to keep it going continuously now. =\ Silavor UserSilavorSigIcon.png 23:29, 6 March 2008 (UTC)

Good, this is what this skill needed to be. Fire magic is suppose to be the least supportive elementalist attribute in this game and before the nerf it was the best running buff in the game, but now its balanced and requires some positioning to constantly keep it up.William Wallace 00:57, 7 March 2008 (UTC)

Now that they have PVP edition of skills, I'd like to see this skill being brought back to what it used to be. I've been running Storm Djinn's haste, but during the time it is active, you only regain enough energy to recast the spell (5 energy over 22 seconds). It sucks! Also, Windborne Speed only lasts 10 seconds at 12 Air magic, so it has to constantly be recast. Lastly, I think the trivia is silly. "This skill is named after the Flame Djinns. Ironically, they do not use the skill. However, Burning Spirits do." Griffons don't use Griffon's Sweep. Then again, Angorodon's do use Angorodon's Gaze. So it can go either way. Any thoughts? --ChristopherRodrigues 15:17, 10 June 2008 (UTC)
Uh, they nerfed it for PvP in the first place, so the update you want probably isn't going to happen. --click moar Mafaraxas 06:20, 11 June 2008 (UTC)
Not sasitsfied about nerf. Was a great skill. 217.126.155.7 09:06, 28 August 2008 (UTC)

Inferno is not related to this skill[edit]

How is it related?AoE damage?Might as well put all skills with AoE fire damage also. The other skills are related because of its speed boost plus other respective element(fire damage, fire protection, etc.)bonus. I'm putting a discussion here before removing it, see it as a courtesy, normally others won't do this.--Wealedout 19:14, 25 November 2008 (UTC)

Well, it's a PbAoE skill...145.94.74.23 15:43, 13 January 2009 (UTC)
On top of that the same cost, activation time, the same damage progression pattern(7), and (conditionally) the same recharge. I think it's related-worthy. Given that anyone mind about me re-adding it because of these reasons? I will give this a 42hour timer(2 days) before adding it unless there is either; a tremendous upheaval about it, or a very good reason not to.Weaponmaster 02:01, 18 January 2009 (UTC)

Serpents quickness[edit]

If you combine this with serpents quickness, wen you hit, do you have a 6 sec recharge? 80.127.221.54 09:55, 6 February 2009 (UTC)

Trainers[edit]

Don't later Nightfall trainers have all the skills of earlier trainers? -- User Gordon Ecker sig.png Gordon Ecker (talk) 04:38, 16 November 2009 (UTC)
