[edit] Appear Offline

I'm not sure if when you appear offline if it still changes your character name for other players. For example: I log in as "character A" and have my status set to online. I then swap to another character (Character B) and set my status to offline. When I look at the guild roster my character name has changed to character B. Do other guild members see this name change as well?

[edit] Ignore Chat

Am not sure if the Ignore covers chat in outposts, distinctly remember this not working a few months back. Has this been updated? D3th n1gG4 04:02, 1 April 2007 (EDT)

It does cover chat in outposts. You will no longerr be able to see what they are saying if you ignore them. I am not sure if they can see what you are saying though if they are on your ignore list.--Eloc 04:03, 1 April 2007 (EDT)
Thanks for clarifying this now I can safely ignore my whole guild :D D3th n1gG4 06:28, 1 April 2007 (EDT)

[edit] Remove from fiend list

Who put the remove from friend list option right below the send whisper one? Done25

Not quite sure about that, but I was wondering if somebody could still see my status if I removed them from the list. It's not that I want to ignore them, but just taking them out of my list to make room.--66.231.41.244 08:35, 28 August 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Bugs

I have been having serious bugs with this list, often causing me to go on Do Not Disturb whenever I close it, occasionally crashing GW when I open it and once turning off the AFK label caused the text display for the /report command. Is anyone else having such bugs, or do I have corrupted code somehow? 69.40.243.42 10:29, 1 January 2008 (UTC)

May be your connection. Calor Talk 04:36, 21 February 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Offline friends list

I'm looking for an application in which you can chat and see players in a guild and in your friends list, but without having to start Guild Wars. Something like Windows Live Messenger, but without having them to have an account. Does anyone know something like this, or, if not, who should I ask for something like this? << horsedrowner | talk | guild >> 08:40, 8 May 2008 (UTC)

xfire.com? Krothal 15:19, 14 May 2008 (UTC)
What would xfire have to do with Guild Wars? The point is that they dont have to get an account themselves. << horsedrowner | talk | guild >> 19:12, 14 May 2008 (UTC)
I don't think there is such an application, simply because of security reasons. This is me guessing, but an external program being able to access the servers, access your account to check your guild/friends list, allow you to see them and connect to them.. It sounds dodgy to me, and really hard to do and still keeping it safe. - anja talk 19:18, 14 May 2008 (UTC)
"I'm looking for an application in which you can chat and see players in a guild and in your friends list, but without having to start Guild Wars." What would your application have to do more with Guild Wars than XFire? XFire = See when your friends are online, what game they're playing, and what server they're on; Join in on their games with one click; See what the friends of your friends are playing. Add to this the issue Anja mentioned and you might realize that XFire is what you're looking for because a third-party application accessing GW servers will not happen. Krothal 12:57, 16 May 2008 (UTC)
What I mean, is that I want something to view my online/offline friends from Guild Wars, WITHOUT having them to get xfire. << horsedrowner | talk | guild >> 17:49, 16 May 2008 (UTC)
But wouldn't that require whoever were to make such an application to get permission from Anet to access their servers? I don't think they'd allow it just like that... Just as Krothal suggests. 193.215.199.34 13:00, 5 August 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Friends List Length

Can we please get more space in the friends list? It's very restrictive in its current state, not allowing you to keep there more than 50 names. I think a simple modification of that variable for the friends list to be able to hold 100-200 names would make it much easier for players to keep in touch with each other. Thanx! [edit] Glitch

Does anyone else have the problem of putting a person on their friends list but still get PM's from them? Is there a way to prevent this glitch from occurring, or is it just spontaneous? And why not increase the ignore list a bunch, if you for example had an entire guild roster after you? 24.254.220.39 00:44, 26 August 2008 (UTC)
