Dec 8th[edit]

O lawd, here we go with the hour-long wait for them to post update notes... --Curin Derwin 02:27, 9 December 2009 (UTC)

Sweet! I posted them right as you posted this ;) --UserEmilyDiehlStar.gif Emily Diehl (talk) 02:28, 9 December 2009 (UTC)
I should have bit my tongue! I was referring to the main GW site; I'm surprised they posted the patch notes so quickly. Could this be the doing of their new webmaster? o.o --Curin Derwin 02:32, 9 December 2009 (UTC)

dec 10th?[edit]

had to get it what is it?AurenX 03:37, 11 December 2009 (UTC)

Not sure so far, but it was about 480kb. Previously Unsigned 03:38, 11 December 2009 (UTC)
no change to SF, no notes. No other skills appear to be changed--TahiriVeila 03:39, 11 December 2009 (UTC)

Making preparations for Wintersday content? --talk Large 03:52, 11 December 2009 (UTC)
Doubt it, nothing new in the dat, only replaces. — PmaN  03:53, 11 December 2009 (UTC)
maybe its just for the weakened eventAurenX 04:01, 11 December 2009 (UTC)
Nope thats Double GvG. --Dominator Matrix 04:02, 11 December 2009 (UTC)
Dupe update to cause a wide-spread panic to buy-out ectos, thus increasing their value for a short time? --Curin Derwin 05:45, 11 December 2009 (UTC)
I see it now, ANet commits the crime of pump and dump in their own game to collect monetary data to remove from the game. Genious. O_O --Curin Derwin 05:47, 11 December 2009 (UTC)

Dec 10th[edit]

Okay, okay. THIS time, for certain. "O lawd, here we go with the hour-long wait for them to post update notes..." =0) --Curin Derwin 05:40, 11 December 2009 (UTC)

It's already been over an hour, well over an hour in fact. :S 99.6.219.224 05:44, 11 December 2009 (UTC)
That was a bit redundant... =P --Curin Derwin 05:45, 11 December 2009 (UTC)
The amount of times I've refreshed the page was redundant, what I just said was stressing a point. Two slightly different things 99.6.219.224 05:59, 11 December 2009 (UTC)
I did not and do not mean to offend. In case of misinterpretation of my words, allow me to clarify:
"...already been over an hour, well over an hour"
"...been over an hour, well over an hour"
"...over an hour, well over an hour"
"...over an hour, [...] over an hour"
On a side note, after I spent a prolonged period of time staring at "over an hour," it began to look like a foreign phrase to me. O_O --Curin Derwin 06:07, 11 December 2009 (UTC)
/yawn, err so, what did they nerf this time and why they dont wanna show it lol.--217.153.126.66 06:22, 11 December 2009 (UTC)
Parhaps the whole game, and it was not posted because they weren't quite sure how to phrase it correctly. (Also: The Game.) --Curin Derwin 06:48, 11 December 2009 (UTC)
Took two days to add that they fixed a bug? How long is it going to take to say what today's update was? Ramei Arashi 18:41, 12 December 2009 (UTC)

Dec 10th Hero Flag Pointers?[edit]

What is this talking about? "Hero flag pointers have been changed" I see no change and this is very vague, I have seen a change recently but not on the 10th (or 11th update that there are no notes for as of yet), the only change I've seen in hero flag pointers is if you get it close to right on a rez shrine or collector icon it puts a circle around the icon on the map, presumably because the shrine/collector icon will obscure the flag icon if placed directly on it. So can someone clarify this note or delete it cause I don't see any change --Skekzyz 20:10, 15 December 2009 (UTC)

I have not seen anything either on this change. The selection of the shrine was implemented for Hero Battles so they could easily be locked on the capture area. Dreg 06:10, 19 December 2009 (UTC)

December 17th[edit]

It seems likely that Thursday, December the 17th is a day they might update for Wintersday, as well as provide us with a major skill update. Does this seem logical? --Curin Derwin 07:26, 11 December 2009 (UTC)

I heard something about the balance updates being on Thursdays? I think it's likely. --Kyoshi (Talk) User Kyoshi sig.png 07:34, 11 December 2009 (UTC)
They ain't gonna do a skill update **2** days before the MAT. Anon-e-mouse 08:34, 11 December 2009 (UTC)
Then when would you suggest they might do it?--Curin Derwin 08:35, 11 December 2009 (UTC)
They said the update would involve SF and other farming builds, it might not necessarily affect your precious MAT at all; might just be PvE fixes. Then again, who knows. --Kyoshi (Talk) User Kyoshi sig.png 21:24, 11 December 2009 (UTC)
They will probly put the decorations up on the 18th,then nerf shadowform before the new year.--Neil2250 User Neil2250 sig icon5.jpg 13:10, 13 December 2009 (UTC)
Whenever they plan to make pvp changes, it better be soon. The ONLY viable monk build is Mo/W, which means WoH is the only viable elite for smaller arenas. If you want to monk in the smaller arenas, you HAVE to use WoH. Other builds will just run out of energy. The current state of the game is a disgrace. Anyone could have told the developers that buffing sins like their last major update would lead to a completely singular meta. And changing half a profession to completely alter balance after moving to a bimonthly update system? Are you kidding me? With that many changes it obvious you're going to need a lot of tweaks over a short period of time. This type of behavior by the developers in inexcusable. What's worse is that you know they aren't going to learn, and we'll have to settle into only having 3 playable builds for 2 month periods. An OP damage dealer, the only type of monk that can stand up to it, and a shutdown that specifically targets one of the other two. Other build may work, but won't come close to the other 3 in terms of effectiveness. Unless the developers start using their heads instead of just going, "Dur... I'm gonna buff... that skill! Ohh... a birdie..." we'll be playing 3 builds at any given time over and over for the rest of our guild wars lives. --The preceding unsigned comment was added by User:72.189.31.85 (talk).
Sign your comments, please. If you're so angry about the game and aren't going to give any constructive input (the equivalent of "UR RETARDS FIX IT NOW" plastered on a single talk page back in the corner of the wiki doesn't count) then go play something else, or at least leave the wiki alone. We don't need your near-trolling attitude giving a bad name to those of us who complain constructively and care about fixing the game. --Kyoshi (Talk) User Kyoshi sig.png 20:12, 14 December 2009 (UTC)

FOUND A BUG: at least for some accounts you cannot see your cape in the Guild Emblemer to change it, it's invisible. --Skekzyz 09:05, 18 December 2009 (UTC)

Aha, you cannot see your cape in the Inventory (paper doll) or the Guild Emblemer if you are "showing" your Costume Body --Skekzyz 09:54, 18 December 2009 (UTC)
Thanks for removing the wiki note I put up for this problem I hope it confuses alot of ppl and they never find out how to change their cape --Skekzyz 22:14, 18 December 2009 (UTC)

The constant updates. --Dominator Matrix 09:56, 19 December 2009 (UTC)
It's all Wintersday stuff. I would expect updates pretty regularly through the event. -- Wyn User Wynthyst sig icon2.png talk 10:52, 19 December 2009 (UTC)

Quite a few...[edit]

Alot of updates, yet none of which have anything to do with skill balances. Are they putting it off until next year? Now before I start to rant on which skills should be buffed instead of nerfed please direct me to the place where I may do so :)66.245.135.208 07:20, 23 December 2009 (UTC)

They already said they're putting it off till next year, and you can't rant anything that hasn't been ranted already. -- Tha Reckoning File:User Tha Reckoning Sig2.jpg 07:21, 23 December 2009 (UTC)
You can see the comments Regina posted about the upcoming skill update Here. If you have suggestions for changes to skills, please register an account, go to Feedback:Getting started, read the rules, and instructions, and go from there. I can pretty much tell you they have been working on the skill update for awhile now, so you might want to simply look through the suggestions already posted at Feedback:Skill suggestions and see if your ideas aren't already on the table, and simply join the ongoing discussions. -- Wyn User Wynthyst sig icon2.png talk 07:48, 23 December 2009 (UTC)
