Ok.. I'm going to have to say that dealing cold damage is a bit unsubstantiated at this point. -Elviondale 21:28, 11 July 2007 (UTC)

I've added the future feature tag for it - until release, it can't really hurt to have the best guess there, and if past trends are any indication, it's a likely possibility. Go to Aiiane's Talk page (Aiiane - talk - contribs) 21:34, 11 July 2007 (UTC)
Elviondale, you are right - the only reason why I added "Cold damage" there was because I didn't know what to do, and leaving that space empty would look ugly : P Checking the other pages, I have seen people just using "unknown" there, so I'll make the change right now. Gamestop seems to be listing stats for all the bonus weapons. Not sure if this qualifies as reliable (I doubt it, but it's possible). GameStop's GW:EN Listing Dustin 14:43, 12 July 2007 (EDT)

I have seen this information on multiple store sites... so I have place the info into the Wiki - SabreWolf

[edit] Picture?

this it? http://www.guildwars.com/events/contests/designaweapon07/winner5.php -70.191.81.74 18:39, 17 July 2007 (UTC)

Interesting... --GrethortImage:User Gret Chii.jpg 05:32, 18 July 2007 (UTC)

I added the a note about it being forged by the Norn, source: http://www.guildwars.com/products/eyeofthenorth/preorder/, perhaps I should have added it as Triva but I don't know how to do that, also edited a couple time for my own grammer mistakes. Dancing Gnome

It should definitely be in the notes section not trivia. --Lemming64 09:35, 20 July 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Links to design a weapon 2007

Please do not remove the links to design a weapon 2007 contest page. This weapon and the other two in the pre-release pack are all directly related to the contest. One design was a winning entry, one was an honourable mention and whilst the third was not a listed winner the design was an entry. --Lemming64 11:24, 21 July 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Do Anet make fun of us?

The best looking sword in the game is NON INSCRIPTABLE and with a TOTALLY USELESS 15%^ench mod, useless for the warrior, useless for the casters! And i paid 5€ for it. MAKE IT INSCRIPTABLE FFS. --The preceding unsigned comment was added by User:213.140.6.120 .

Totally useless?? It has Cold Damage and +15^enchanted....Conjure Frost?! --ChronicinabilitY 12:17, 21 July 2007 (UTC)
Conjure frost warr = one build. And btw, dmg+15%^50 is far better even for that.--The preceding unsigned comment was added by User:213.140.6.120 .
They never give perfect weapons for the bonuses, at least be thankfull that this is useable with something unlike a lot of previous bonus items. --ChronicinabilitY 12:21, 21 July 2007 (UTC)
Good point, but for the last bonus items ever, after we are flooded, and i mean TOTALLY FLOODED, with better greens and inscriptable weapons, it still feel like a bad joke. --The preceding unsigned comment was added by User:213.140.6.120 .
Vigorous Spirit, Healing Hands, Conjure Frost, a wholse host of Dervish skills... there's quite a few things you can do with this sword if you just have the imagination to think of them. Would I like to have a version of this weapon I can modify? Most certainly. Am I going to complain, moan and threaten Anet if it doesn't happen? Nope, just going to learn to appreciate the weapon and find ways to take advantage of the stats. - Dorsk 15:38, 21 July 2007 (UTC)
I didn't see any threat. I think it's important for us to give a feedback of what WE think about the game. Maybe someone in anet will read and say "oh well, maybe he's right, it's stupid to make a useless weapon a bonus, let's make it usable to all class and builds, not just one, and a noob one too". Or maybe someone read it and said "another whiner, we are teh best game out there we no need your advices. ownd!". For me, it's the same, it's just a game, but i'm happy to share my toughts anyway.
Much as I'd like to be able to set this up with my own mods, there is simply no way that Anet will do it. If they did, the price of rare swords would tank. No preorder weapon has ever had the 'optimum' stats for its class - Assassin (Poisonous mod.. blah.. and +1/20%), Ritualist (HCT10% global, a 20% Communing or another HSR would have been better), Dervish (cold damage) and Paragon (Fiery head) have all had something that means it is still worth your while buying rare weapons, and therefore the prices of those rare weapons do not collapse. Cynical 08:36, 22 July 2007 (UTC)
You mean, collapse like after the introduction of an hard more? The only rare weapons now are the hall of heroes only like runic blade, all the rest is merchant thres.
the dude who started to whine about this sword should think before he starts complaining, take a good hard look at the sword, what does it look like? ice! indeed, thus it would only be LOGICAL for it to do cold damage, why you think they fixed the prefix on the dragon swords? indeed, so you wont have a lightning dragon sword or something, or an ebon dragon sword, no use in having a sword that looks like its made out of ice and have it do fire damage. seriously, think before you judge. Vega Underdark Vega Underdark (talk) 10:59, 26 July 2007 (UTC)
And you should read better. Inscriptions is not ice damage. seriously, think before you judge. --YukoIshii 15:49, 8 August 2007 (UTC)
This is a wonderful weapon! I use it with my Mesmer in her Illusionary Weaponry build. Very stylish. :) ChaoticCoyote 19:25, 26 July 2007 (UTC)
This sword is awesome with my Conjure Frost + Signet of Strength build when i get going with flail i basically tear everything to shreds...-Chrisworld 04:03, 29 July 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Small

It's really small, isn't it? -71.109.154.239 18:33, 21 July 2007 (UTC)

Rather small, yes. ~ Reaper 21:13, 21 July 2007 (UTC)
Kinda strange cause it's made by the Norn who are rather large... 66.214.173.22 04:58, 6 August 2007 (UTC)
I guess they tried to make a dagger then. Either that or they have cool chop sticks. Lt Death 19:30, 21 July 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Dyeable?

Dye the blueness of the sword and would they please make IDSs and FDSs or a new DS that we can dye the flames PLZ!!!!!!!Sword of Slashing 22:59, 23 July 2007 (UTC)

None of the /bonus items are dye-able. Image:User GD Defender sig.png|GD Defender / contribs 15:53, 8 August 2007 (UTC)

Actually that statement is wrong because the Sundering Darksteel Longbow is in fact dyeable along with the hourglass staff.

[edit] Cannot be put in Storge?

Equip it, then put some other weapon into your storage. Then equip that weapon by double clicking on it. BAM, the bonus item is in storage. Now you can type /bonus again to get another copy and equip all your heroes :P Seariously though, is this a bug? If not why does it say that it cannot be put in storage? (I haven't tried actually dragging the thing into storage btw) -- Gal Actus Image:User Gal Actus sig.gif 13:19, 16 August 2007 (UTC)

*Gal Actus remembers the duping incident, then runs and takes cover! -- Gal Actus Image:User Gal Actus sig.gif 13:21, 16 August 2007 (UTC)
Generally the easiest way to keep making the bonus items for each of your heros is just to attach the first item you make to your hero then when you type /bonus it will not recognize that you have it and this will allow you to create a new copy for you to use or another hero to use. Not sure about getting it into storage thing. Pimpologist 16:26, 17 August 2007 (UTC)

[edit] animated

i cant believe no one has added the note on it being animated. adding note.--Justice 04:47, 14 April 2008 (UTC)
