Question:Could you denote whihch specific insciption items were used? I can't tell from current data if those valued at the same level are so becuase they contain the same inscription. Backsword 19:02, 30 July 2008 (UTC)

I don't exactly understand what you mean... :/ the first value column shows the (identified) weapon value without this iscription, and the second value column shows the (identified) weapon value with inscription. —ZerphatalkThe Improver 19:33, 13 August 2008 (UTC)
Yes, but was this with the same inscriptions, or did you use more than 3? Backsword 11:56, 16 August 2008 (UTC)

Note on my input[edit]

Tried using the same weapon and the same inscription, salvaging and re-inscribing using a PSK. The four times, the base value of the weapon stayed at 184, and the four times the inscribed value of the weapon stayed at 258. Also, worth to note, the 3 times i checked, the value of the inscription (alone, re-identified) changed (100, forgot it, and 124).--Fighterdoken 01:55, 31 July 2008 (UTC)

Yeah, i also noticed that the value of the item always stays the same (see Wintergreen Shield) Though i'm surprised about the identified value of the inscription. Not only does it change, but also is it worth far more than usual (until now, all inscriptions i identified had the same value range as minor runes and insignias (26-50). —ZerphatalkThe Improver 19:33, 13 August 2008 (UTC)

No need for further research[edit]

I've posted my detailed explanation on how it really works, based on extensive research I've performed myself independantly. If there are any questions or things I've forgot to mention I can add them. Only very insignificant details remain unknown to me at the moment: Whether +70g can drop on a gold OR +71g can be found on a purple OR neither of those options are true; also someone really bored might want to track the actual rarity of a perfect +75g one. I've been able to find only 1 perfect +75 while finding a lot of +74s and a lot of +73s.--YawgYawg 05:41, 8 March 2009 (UTC)

That makes a lot of sense. It should be noted that ranges are a basic function, so it will always be 0..50, 50..75, and 75..1000% of the variable, with overlap due to rounding. Backsword 05:50, 8 March 2009 (UTC)
