Wizard's tower[edit]

is anet ever going to expand or explain more about it? --The preceding unsigned comment was added by User:75.165.112.222 (talk).

I highly doubt it.--§ Eloc § 23:00, 27 September 2007 (UTC)

i think it would be a cool thing for someone like the asuren would find it pre what happens with orr and unlock its power or something or it would be the source of the new queen of kritas power or it holds the key to how to defeat the dragons in gw2 i am just throwing ideas out there or it could be a source of power for the murssat i think the asuren having something to do with it would make the most since seeing that they have floating rocks in there lands. --The preceding unsigned comment was added by User:75.165.112.222 (talk).

Maybe, but I think it's mainly just a Tower full of Ancient Magicks that should never be opened by anyone.--§ Eloc § 00:14, 4 October 2007 (UTC)
Probly intended to do something with Utopia , but got disused when the game was cancled--Neil2250 , Render Lord User Neil2250 sig icon5.jpg 18:17, 8 April 2010 (UTC)
they opened the mausoleum on rotscale's island, so who knows maybe some expansion in halloween or wik will open it.

Hard Mode[edit]

This area is moderately easy in Hard Mode until you engage the followers of verata... They're insanely difficult to kill with aoe rez + healing hands monks.. and necromancers stealing minions + mass interupts. Any ideas for henchmen? Thinking dazed ranger with frozen soil. --File:User Chieftain Alex Chieftain Signature.pngChieftain Alex 17:34, 28 December 2008 (UTC)

Their AoE res is shit. 25% and 0 energy is basically just "oh look, free corpses!" for any necro you might bring. If it's causing you a lot of trouble, you probably need more damage. As for Healing Hands... meh, just strip it. I usually take a VoR mesmer on my vanquishes, so shatter or drain should work. If you can't spare the room, just have an SS necro take rip or envenom or... well, whatever. --Jette 17:51, 28 December 2008 (UTC)
I'm still in the zone.. 60%dp on party + 2 hero monks with alesia. I'm looking for an idea within my party. --File:User Chieftain Alex Chieftain Signature.pngChieftain Alex 18:05, 28 December 2008 (UTC)
Uh... you got any candy canes? Just try pulling them, I guess. Not much you can do, at this point. If there're any other monsters around, maybe fight them to work some DP off. You're pretty much screwed, though. --Jette 18:21, 28 December 2008 (UTC)
Used about 20 Pumpkin Cookies in the end. Pulling was essential as the monk bandits wouldn't rez if their ally was further down the slope, used that to kill off 8 individual people and cookie-ing between. Was very slow since shrine is miles away. --File:User Chieftain Alex Chieftain Signature.pngChieftain Alex 19:43, 31 December 2008 (UTC)
I used discord heroes, and with Villany of Garatah quest active, I vanquished this area without any trouble. Long live discord115.64.157.4 08:26, 19 September 2009 (UTC)
The damage this group produces is actually relatively insignificant. Only the Eyes of Verata are heavy dmg dealers. If you jam your whole group up against the of the cliff on top of which the group sits, the archers further back cant hit you and you can bombard them with indirect spells. Archers near or at the edge directly above you, however, can still inflict heavy dmg. Searing Flames and Meteor Shower took nearly all of them out. As for the healer, i believe Verata's group only has one. Take it out quickly and they are cheese. As a side note, over-dependence upon minions renders you unnecessarily vulnerable, do not bring them. This area is easy enough without them. Also, a hero with Unnatural Signet helps wipe out enemy minions.--Shai Halud 18:06, 8 April 2010 (UTC)
I somehow dout hes still in the area, Shai.--Neil2250 , Render Lord User Neil2250 sig icon5.jpg 18:19, 8 April 2010 (UTC)
Verata's group had 3 healers when I did it so it was quite hard even with discord and rip enchant. Flagging heroes/henchies behind a wall did help a lot. 77.248.247.252 20:07, 28 July 2010 (UTC)

War in Kryta[edit]

184 foes vanquished with peacekeepers. About 6 of those are lynxes caused by the hill giant's aoe giant stomp. --The preceding unsigned comment was added by User:68.84.166.44 (talk).

Vanquishing[edit]

Add to notes section:Bring villany of galrath to reduce crazy amounts of death penalty otherwise incurred? --File:User Chieftain Alex Chieftain Signature.pngChieftain Alex 17:02, 15 September 2010 (UTC)

Note to self, bring frozen soil, an obvious idea but works like a charm. --The preceding unsigned comment was added by 80.189.136.77 (talk).

The Villainy of Galrath[edit]

If, like me, you don't feel like dropping the quest to do the vanquish, expect this area to be significantly harder than other areas. Probably the hardest vanquishable area.

It seems I killed 203 enemies, which doesn't match the "(reduces foes by about 20)" comment, as this was my only active quest. War in Kryta was also not active.

The groups of bandits are level 30, composed among other things of multiple Death Blossom assassins which tend to decimate your backline. Visions of Regret mesmers carry Flesh of my Flesh, the assassins carry Signet of Resurrection. These also have Diversion ; make sure to pull back if some important skills got disabled. Minions or pets help, as they'll waste Diversion on these. Galrath himself is an intimidating level 40, but his group was the easiest for me to kill due to the absence of any monk. If you really struggle, you can somewhat "string pull" certain enemies very far away from their group, far enough that the other enemies don't even attempt to resurrect them.

I found it easier to aggro the last group of bandits from the bottom of the hill, to waste the assassins' signets of resurrection ; I didn't have the damage to kill everything from down there. I really recommend spells such as Panic, despite the Visions of Regret mesmers using Mantra of Concentration. I myself went with double Panic (of which I micro'd one onto the monks) and a Psychic Instability. Besides these skills, my team was simply the '7 Hero Offensive Mesmerway' from PvX, Zei Ri resto version, and I was running a modified version of the Together as One dagger spammer. I did not use Frozen Soil.

With all of this, I triumphed without any sort of conset or summoning stone.

Hoping this comment will help other people to not waste days like me. VibrantColors (talk) 08:25, 6 August 2021 (UTC)
