[edit] Stacks?

Does this -3 physical dmg reduction stacks with shield's physical dmg reduction (draw of the luck, etc) along with the absorption rune? Barinthus 00:29, 5 December 2007 (UTC)

Yes. The way they word things ingame, anything that says "non-stacking" means that it doesn't stack with other non-stacking things. The net result is your highest non-stacking bonus added to all of your stacking bonuses, and none of the above are marked as non-stacking. The insignia, rune, and inscription can all trigger on the same attack for a consistent -6 physical damage and occasional -11.
On a side note, stacking for equipment only applies (to the best of my knowledge) to attribute bonuses. Runes are the only non-stacking item in this line, and thus stack with the "stacking" headpiece bonus and random weapon mods. --Hashmir 20:00, 29 February 2008 (UTC)
The consistent -6 physical dmg and occasional -11 only on the armor piece that has a Knight's Insignia assuming the character has that superior absorption rune equipped somewhere along with a shield or focii with a perfect Luck of the Draw inscription and meets attribute requirement of that equipment - correct? Suppose I have Knight on chest piece but not gloves - I have consistent -6 on chest and -3 on gloves? – Barinthus 22:32, 29 February 2008 (UTC)
Wat does global or local mean? I honestly have no idea ~~Pollo141.157.253.187
"Global" refers to the entire armor set while "local" refers to that specific armor piece where a rune or insignia is applied. Suppose you were to put on a Stalwart Insignia on a chest piece along with a superior Rune of Absorption, Ok, the superior rune's 3 physical damage reduction applies to the overall armor and not just that chest piece hence it is a global effect. The insignia's 10 physical damage reduction will only be applied toward that chest piece it was affixed to. If you were hit on the chest with physical damage, it is reduced by 10 points but if you're hit somewhere else such as the head or legs, you do not receive the damage reduction. Hence the insignia has a local effect. To sum it up, superior rune of absorption is global because it gives you physical damage reduction all over no matter where you put the rune on and stalwart insignia is local because it only benefits you when you receive physical damage on that specific body part where it was affixed to. – Barinthus 16:22, 27 May 2008 (UTC)
Except for the fact that Stalwart Insignia reduces physical damage by 12,5%, and not by "10". Paddymew 11:30, 21 August 2009 (UTC)
