Is it just me, or is this the best looking armor in the game?Nicky Silverstar 11:28, 14 August 2007 (UTC)

For warriors it definitely is. --24.243.143.206 09:42, 7 October 2007 (UTC)

I disagree completely. The helmet is really ugly--Raph User Raph Sig.png 16:04, 13 October 2007 (UTC)

You can always choose to not display the helm, or Hell, not even craft one. As far as Nightfall armor goes, I think this looks the best on mah female warr, and second only to Fissure Mesodreth Blackwing 05:13, 18 November 2007 (UTC)
I agree, it's the best in the game, but I don't like the hem either. 24.7.141.45 03:18, 7 March 2008 (UTC)
This is highly subjective. Personally I find it to be only so-so. -- ab.er.rant User Ab.er.rant Sig.png 03:22, 7 March 2008 (UTC)

It looks great, but it cost me about 19K to make the boots...Is it just me or is it a bit over priced? 24.7.141.45 18:32, 7 March 2008 (UTC)

is it just me or does it looks like roman armor? king 01:19, 8 March 2008 (UTC)

it does somewhat reminde me of roman armor. and yeah, it's highly subjective whether u find them attractive or not. i rate this barely above starter armor in looks. highly highly overpriced. --VVong|BA 17:57, 17 April 2008 (UTC)
yeah it has a sertain roman imperialist feel over it. the golden bird, birdwings, white cotton and leather are the cause of that. its not the best looking armor in the game imho. it looks cool but its not worth all those rubies and sapphires to me.

i know the price is very high, but if i were to spend nearly all of my money on a set of armor (on my female warrior) i would choose this over obsidian, with the helm hidden. looks great with chaos gauntlets (as with any armor, but i like them with this armor in particular)

This looks much better in game than on the wiki IMO. (female that is) I took the chance, and I'm glad I did, I love it! Nice one to add to my warrior's collection.Katzchen 04:54, 19 May 2008 (UTC)

I am not a big fan of the armor, especially the male, but to King, I thought it looked a little more persian than roman, Rome tended to use more metal plating and scaled armor while persian had a little more motley look like this armor plus persian fits slightly better in the theme of the nightfall armors since it looks to take place in an arid reigon resemblant of the northern africa and middle east. Sorry about the wordieness. Here are some pics that i think support my opinion.http://www.civfanatics.net/uploads8/000_Persian_Heavy_Cavalry.jpg http://www.myarmoury.com/talk/download.php?id=8758 http://www.myarmoury.com/talk/download.php?id=8759 Weapomaster

cost[edit]

whats the price with the crafting materials included?

As the price of Saphs and Rubies goes lately, those alon would cost around 128k when bought outright from material traders, add in the cost of the other materials and the final crafting price it comes out to be over 200k for most sets, its 210kish for the ranger set, not sure about the warrior set though--Xenktray 15:36, 23 February 2009 (UTC)
Mine took around 60k for the gems alone, that's the kicker.-- User Vanguard VanguardLogo.pnganguard 22:53, 2 May 2009 (UTC)

ninja mask?[edit]

so does ne1 have this armor with a ninja mask? and can som1 suggest to me some good boots to go with it? im not a big fan of mixin armors but this set really gives me a good reason to get a standalone headpeice and standalone gloves. but id like to get some better boots for it. suggestions anyone?68.166.219.88 22:59, 29 March 2009 (UTC)briar

For boots, go with primeval. You can see a picture with Vabbian Cuirass & Leggings + Primeval Boots on my profile page. Markus Clouser 11:37, 25 October 2009 (UTC)

Warrior Fashion[edit]

Is it just me or do half of the elite wearing warriors in the game now wear an elite glads chest with vabbian leggings and boots? i dont know why but it seems especially that pvpers seem to wear it most often. Shogun 10:43, 31 May 2009 (UTC)

yea im definitely seeing it too, especially on females. i tend to see fow helm, elite glad chest and hands, vabbian leggings, and primeval boots (for females) and males is the same but with vabbian legs and boots. i think its kinda weird, i myself would rather use ancient leggings and boots on my male war. Roman soldier[edit]

Wow, i've just noticed if you combine this armor dyed red (without the helment) + a defender and a gladius (gladius) you would almost look like a roman soldier, it's pretty cool :) --Soulforged Mesmer-tango-icon-200.png 15:05, 18 July 2009 (UTC)

Definitely a roman legionnaire even with the helmet Hubbard User Hubbard sig icon.png The Dervish 02:08, 26 July 2009 (UTC)

to be fair I think the armour looks Roman no matter what colour you add to it, contrary to the "trivia" listed there - "This armor looks similar to that of a Persian/Sultan guard." Especially if you look at the Istani armour dyed black, it's a pretty solid resemblance to the armour of Roman Gladiators (as features in The Gladiator(movie)). Wouldn't be surprised if the Vabbian one is based off them too. Future User Future Signature.png 14:30, 13 September 2009 (UTC)
Definitely looks a lot more like Roman armor than Persian. Look here. --Aldarik 14:37, 13 September 2009 (UTC)
Indeed it does have some persian/arabian features but it looks a lot like a roman armor (the helmet is definitely not roman however) --Soulforged User Soulforged sig.jpg 20:43, 14 September 2009 (UTC)
i'd say with the elite gladitor helmet and the whole vabbian set and you look like a roman legionnaire
