template bug[edit]

see Berserker's Insight. i'm view page @ 1280 x 1024 in firefox. --VVong|BA 19:16, 11 December 2007 (UTC)

environment effect description[edit]

some "environment effects" have in their description "spell," e.g. Icy Ground and avalanche (effect), and lava has no description or skill icon at all. i attempted to add an anomaly tag to avalanche and had it reverted. but the fact is that these skills act as environment effects even if not labeled as such. does it not make sense to add the tag to these items and use the effect infobox instead of the skill infobox? maybe adding the tags would even prompt anet to change the description to better reflect what it really is.--VVong|BA 19:35, 11 December 2007 (UTC)

i even attempted to add the "special = Environment effect" line to the infobox so that the attribute line in the infobox and common skills category wouldn't show up and had that reverted. it seems fairly absurd to look at avalanche and see it under common skills. --VVong|BA 19:49, 11 December 2007 (UTC)

Titles[edit]

Titles still use the 'special' parameter. The 'type' parameter won't work. Adittionally they should also link to Title (skill type) instead of Title effect and categorize as Title skills instead of Title effects, but that depends on what is decided about the merge in Talk:Title effect. bundle parameter[edit]

Should be removed and maybe added in the skill infobox template instead, which is actually used for this kind of skills. Also see List of bundle skills. —ZerphatalkThe Improver 00:25, 30 March 2010 (UTC)

"Duration" vs "Recharge"[edit]

Currently, this infobox is able to show only the "duration time" parameter, using the icon which is assigned for "recharge time" in other skills. This leads to unresolvable ambiguity, for example: for Ice Dart skill we have the recharge (repeat) time 5 sec and duration (effect) time 6 sec. In the in-game description "5" sec used with "recharge" icon as usual and "6" sec is mentioned in the text. In the article's infobox both parameters are supplied: "recharge = 5", "duration = 6", but this template is unable to show "recharge", only "duration"! Click on the icon loads the Recharge time atricle, which is not expected (we have the separate Duration article). As a result, some readers can decide that the article contains a bug and even can try to fix it, but it's not a bug there, it's a bug here.

Suggestions:
1) restore the meaning of the "recharge" parameter and add the appropriate code to the template (I can do it by myself, but it would be better to get some consensus before).
2) consider about usage of the separate icon for the "duration" parameter, if there is a definite reason to show it for some effects (common non-effect skills don't have this parameter in Template:Skill infobox, and the duration is mentioned only like in the in-game description). --Slavic 09:39, 30 April 2011 (UTC)
