Protection Prayers Skills.[edit]

Amity Amity[edit]

Current:[edit]

  • 5Energy, 0.25¼Activation time, 45Recharge time. Elite Hex Spell. 8...18...20 seconds, adjacent foes cannot attack. For each foe, Amity ends if that foe takes damage.

Proposed:[edit]

Raine's Proposal:[edit]

  • 15Energy, 0.75¾Activation time, 10Recharge time. Elite Enchantment Spell. (60 seconds). Also affects creatures in the area. These creatures lose one Condition every 10...3...1 seconds and one Hex every 20...6...3 seconds. Amity ends for each affected creature if that creature attacks or uses a hostile skill.
    • Amity was previously useless in almost all regards. It has been reworked into a sort of Spotless Mind/Soul with the potential to greatly relieve hex/condi pressure. While it does affect the opposing team as well, it is very likely that they remove the effect prematurely by attacking or casting before they're aware that it's been applied (Vent is strong). User Raine R.gif Raine - talk 00:15, 28 May 2009 (UTC)
  • 10Energy, 0.75¾Activation time, 10Recharge time. Elite Hex Spell. (3...13...15 seconds). Also affects creatures in the area. These creatures cannot attack or use hostile skills. This effect ends on each creature if that creature takes damage.
    • An alternative tweak. Instead of rewarding amity, it downright prevents hostility in an area. Because it also affects allies, this skill can easily relieve pressure on the opposing team if used badly. User Raine R.gif Raine - talk 00:15, 28 May 2009 (UTC)

Draw Conditions Draw Conditions[edit]

Current:[edit]

  • 5Energy, 0.25¼Activation time, 2Recharge time. Spell. Spell. All negative Conditions are transferred from target other ally to yourself. For each Condition acquired, you gain 6...22...26 Health.

Proposed:[edit]

Raine's Proposal:[edit]

  • 5Energy, 0.25¼Activation time, 3Recharge time. Enchantment Spell. Transfer 1...3...3 conditions and their remaining durations from target other ally to yourself. Each second for 0...8...10 seconds, one condition is transferred from that ally to you. You and that ally gain 10...26...30 Health whenever a condition is transferred in this way.
    • An altruistic way to relieve condition pressure on an ally. User Raine R.gif Raine - talk 20:20, 13 July 2009 (UTC)

Mark of Protection Mark of Protection[edit]

Current:[edit]

  • 10Energy, 1Activation time, 45Recharge time. Elite Enchantment Spell. For 10 seconds, whenever target ally would take damage, that ally is healed for that amount instead, maximum 6...49...60. All your Protection Prayers are disabled for 5 seconds.

Proposed:[edit]

Raine's Proposal[edit]

  • 10Energy, 0.25¼Activation time, 3Recharge time. Elite Enchantment Spell. For 3...9...10 seconds, target ally cannot lose more than 10...6...5% max Health due to damage from a single attack or Spell, and whenever target ally would take more than 60...36...30 damage, that ally is healed for 15...39...45. All your other skills are disabled for 8 seconds.
    • Mark of Protection had been a pretty horrible elite before due to the recharge alone; the disable clause truly made it garbage. Because there was no way to seriously use it before, it has been remade into the end-all, be-all prot, with the significant downsides of being extremely energy-intensive and disabling the rest of the caster's bar. Pensive Guardian Pensive Guardian[edit]

Current:[edit]

5 Energy1 Activation time5 Recharge time. Enchantment Spell. (5...10...11 seconds.) Target ally has 50% chance to block enchanted foes' attacks.

Proposed:[edit]

Boro's Proposal[edit]

  • 5Energy, 1Activation time, 5Recharge time. Enchantment Spell (2...6...7 seconds.) Target ally has 40 armor against elemental damage and hexes on that ally expire 33% faster.
    • Because enchanted attackers aren't common, guardian outshined this skill in every way, so it has been made into an anti-caster defense. It defends against elemental damage and gives the target a reduced hex duration. Boro 10px‎ 20:12, 7 March 2009 (UTC)

Vili's Proposal[edit]

5 Energy1 Activation time5 Recharge time. Enchantment Spell. (5...10...11 seconds.) Target ally has 50% chance to block projectiles.

    • This is really what Swirling Aura ought to do, but oh well. Projectiles includes spells like Lightning Orb. This would be equivalent to Guardian against Rangers and such, and you could stack them for 75% block. Projectile spells gives it that extra edge over Guardian so that they aren't totally identical...in certain PvE areas, this would be very useful, and it would help at random in PvP too. You also have to consider it lasts about twice as long as Guardian. It might need a bit further tweaking, like a recharge of 8 seconds. Vili User talk:Vili 22:33, 7 March 2009 (UTC)

Raine's Proposal[edit]

  • 5Energy, 1Activation time, 5Recharge time. Enchantment Spell. (2...6...7 seconds.) Hostile spells against target ally have a 50% chance to fail.
    • Straight-up guardian against spells. User Raine R.gif Raine - talk 00:15, 28 May 2009 (UTC)
  • 5Energy, 0.25¼Activation time, 2Recharge time. Enchantment Spell. All hostile skills against target ally are interrupted. Each second for 1...3...3 seconds, hostile skills against that ally are interrupted.
    • Another way to break casterspikes. User Raine R.gif Raine - talk 19:11, 11 July 2009 (UTC)

Reverse Hex Reverse Hex[edit]

Current:[edit]

  • 10Energy, 0.25¼Activation time, 10Recharge time. Enchantment Spell. Remove one Hex from target ally. For 5...9...10 seconds, the next time target ally would take damage, that damage is reduced by 5...41...50.

Proposed:[edit]

Raine's Proposal:[edit]

  • 5Energy, 0.25¼Activation time, 8Recharge time. Enchantment Spell. After 8...2...0 seconds, target ally loses one Hex. Removal effect: hexes against that ally cast 50% slower and expire 50% sooner (3...9...10) seconds. No effect unless that ally is hexed.
    • Strong non-elite hex removal needs a buff. User Raine R.gif Raine - talk 19:17, 11 July 2009 (UTC)
