Flash enchantment suggestions[edit]

It looks like you felt insulted by Raine's comments on that matter. Of course, she can be a pain sometimes (yea, personal experiences :P) but she knows what she is talking about, and I thought I should explain the situation to you.

You would have a point if this was not a topic about balancing of skills, which is not a democratic process, but a meritocratic one. First off, before thinking of a solution, there has to be a problem. Currently, there are no problems with Flame Djinn's Haste, Double Dragon, Inferno, and Shockwave. That is, they are not causing problems and see play every now and them. Things like Balthazar's Rage and Grenth's Fingers never see play, and thus are in need of a buff or rework.

Second, the solution must not cause problems. Like Raine said, an instant Double Dragon followed by an instant FDH would have huge detrimental effects on PvP, particularly in small arenas. If a skill causes problems after it has been buffed, the update has failed, and the skill needs to be nerfed, which sometimes leads to skills being overnerfed (like, erm, Hunter's Shot. That is why people give criticism about suggestions: not to insult you or your intelligence, but to judge the suggestion on being a viable one and beneficial to the game. I hope this clarifies the situation for you. Koda User Koda Kumi Horns1.GIF 23:15, 13 February 2011 (UTC)

I don't mind disagreement with a suggestion, or caution in making such a major change. And I fully acknowledge there would be issues to making that suggestion happen, and it would require effort beyond what was planned. But I do mind when it's done in a rather unprofessional and rude manner, especially for a sysop. --BuildKitten 04:33, 14 February 2011 (UTC)
