Gw2logo.png The Guild Wars 2 Wiki also has an article on Shockwave.
  • The damage is delivered in up to three separate packets:
    • Each packet of damage is counted independently: adjacent foes are hit three times, nearby foes twice, and foes in the area only once.
    • One-time damage reduction skills, e.g. Reversal of Fortune, and damage cappers, e.g. Protective Spirit, do not fully protect against this skill. In contrast, skills that protect against multiple packets are more effective, e.g. Union or Shield of Absorption
    • As expected, Pain Inverter will deal damage back to the target for each packet of damage.
  • Unlike Thunderclap, Cracked Armor is applied before any of the packets of damage
  • Nearby foes will have Cracked Armor covered by Weakness.
Anomaly Anomaly. Adjacent foes will have Cracked Armor covered by Weakness and then Blind instead of following the order given in the descriptions (i.e. Weakness covered by Cracked Armor and then Blind or Blind covered by Cracked Armor and then Weakness).
