Skill Type. All spells require energy to activate. Many equipment items have upgrade components that trigger on spell usage.

Whenever a user casts a spell, there is a .75 second aftercast delay in which the user can not perform any action with his or her character. Some PBAoE spells have an aftercast delay of 1.75 seconds. There are also exceptions; refer to the aftercast delay page for further details.

Some spells are further characterized by a subtype:

  • Enchantment Spell: Creates a persistent buff.
  • Hex Spell: Creates a persistent debuff.
  • Item Spell: Creates a bundle item in the casters hands.
  • Ward Spell: Creates a zone of effect around the caster, which is protective in nature.
  • Weapon Spell: Creates a persistent buff. Unlike enchantments, it is unremovable but only one can be in effect at once.
  • Well Spell: Creates a zone of effect around an exploited corpse.
