- Burning is applied before the effect of the spell.
- Combines well with skills such as Steam, Glowing Gaze, Earthen Shackles, Searing Flames, Virulence, Epidemic, and Vile Miasma.
- Skill selection is important when using this glyph as Area of Effect spells do not "target a foe". If an Area of Effect spell targets a foe and also affects nearby foes (Meteor Shower for instance), only the actual target gets affected by this skill.
- If used with Projectile spells the burning takes effect when the projectile is cast and not when it hits, so the target suffers from burning even if the projectile is avoided.
