- Burning is applied before the effect of the spell.
- Combines well with skill such as Steam, Glowing Gaze, Earthen Shackles, Searing Flames, Epidemic, and Vile Miasma.
- Skill selection is important when using this glyph as Area of Effect spells do not "target a foe". If an Area of Effect spell targets a foe and also affects nearby foes (Searing Flames for instance), only the actual target gets affected by this skill. However, not all spells currently work this way. Fireball does not cause burning to any foes, even though it targets a foe. So, check your spells before you commit to them.
- If used with Projectile spells the burning takes effect when the projectile is cast and not when it hits, so the target suffers from burning even if the projectile is avoided.
