I may decide to bring my stuff over from the other wiki in the near future. I've found this wiki useful for more recent information, but the other one just seems to have more on the old stuff. King Neoterikos 10:50, 30 January 2009 (UTC)

Thought you'd like to read this[edit]

Bias #1 (remember when i was banned for whispering with my friends?)

Bias #2

if you have already read it thats cool --adrin User adrin ecto sig.png 05:24, 4 June 2009 (UTC)

I have; a little consistency wouldn't hurt anet, would it? King Neoterikos 09:42, 4 June 2009 (UTC)

Jotuns[edit]

Thank you for understanding :P It's quite annoying, because I've known since EoTN came out that Jotuns were, in fact, ogres. Due to testing with my Ogreslaying/Giantslaying sets, I confirmed that I dealt +9 damage with the ogreslaying set to forge masters and jotuns. But apparently due to their use of Giant Stomp people are too stubborn to accept that they aren't Giants. 76.175.144.6

Yeah, no worries. King Neoterikos 23:38, 13 June 2009 (UTC)
As the first person to revert you, I don't care either way if they are Giants or Ogres, but when I see people randomly blanking sections of an article with no explanation in their edit summary, I'm just naturally suspicious and inclined to revert. Vili 点 User talk:Vili 23:38, 13 June 2009 (UTC)
Wasn't this tested for the other wiki? Wasn't it confirmed that they were not giants (at least)? King Neoterikos 23:39, 13 June 2009 (UTC)
I have screenshot proof on my computer, but I'm too lazy to upload it somewhere.76.175.144.6
Also I think it's funny how you even had to check when I noticed this below my comment on the other wiki : "Both are "ogres" (cbb checking the time label for the above post, but perhaps this should be mentioned in the article?). King Neoterikos 10:19, 6 November 2008 (UTC)" Clearly, that's you, nearly a year ago, saying they're ogres.76.175.144.6
Yeah, I read that about two minutes after I posted on your talk, then went to GW to check, then had to eat my words. King Neoterikos 23:42, 13 June 2009 (UTC)

ty[edit]

For help over here. :) I fail in English too much sometimes... Mediggo 12:23, 15 June 2009 (UTC)

No problem. King Neoterikos 12:26, 15 June 2009 (UTC)

Rebel Yell[edit]

Or it could possibly be because they're rebels and it's a shout. I mean, I understand that they use the same words, but that doesn't make it trivia reference. At best I think we could say that it is "highly unlikely" that this is a reference to anything... Green Arrow 01:48, 18 June 2009 (UTC)

Of course not, you have to actually look harder. Like I said, the situation (Vanguard being constantly oppressed/wailed on by the Charr), and their reason for fighting back (Ascalon was their city, they want to push the Charr out) on top of having something called Rebel Yell are more than just one link to the civil war. King Neoterikos 01:53, 18 June 2009 (UTC)
Except that the Charr and Ascalon never were one country (meaning that it isn't a civil war), no slavery was involved, and there was no trade dispute or tariff problems (the causes of the civil war). I have no idea what you are talking about with pushing the Charr out. The North didn't invade the South to start the Civil War, the south were the ones who seceded. There's no more parallels--less, in fact--with the Civil War than with any other war. Green Arrow 02:00, 18 June 2009 (UTC)
Have you even played the game? Clearly not, but okay, I'll take the trivia out if it means that much to you... King Neoterikos 02:03, 18 June 2009 (UTC)
Obviously there's slavery, but that all came after the war started; it wasn't a cause of the war like in the Civil War. For it to be a parallel, Ascalon would have to be the ones taking slaves (because apparantly they are the Confederacy, right?) and the Charr would have to invade them to free the slaves. But, in fact, the Charr are the slave-holders, and it's Ascalonians being kept as slaves. So you could make the case that Ascalon is the Union...but suddenly Rebel Yell makes no sense, and wasn't that the whole point? I could ask you the same question about how much you've studied American History. And no, it doesn't matter that much to me, but the stupid stuff people put in trivia does bug me. And there's a lot of it. This does make more sense than the random pop culture references (see Billy Idol) and it's slightly better thought out, but it's still mistaken. I mean, it's sort of feasible, and I see why you might thing that, but really probably not. If you want to draw parallels to history, you can pretty much draw parallels to whatever war and country you like. Anyway, whatever, it's a pretty dumb thing to argue about. My bad, sorry. Doesn't really matter. :P Green Arrow 02:17, 18 June 2009 (UTC)
You're right, I'm actually Australian, so I couldn't give two hoots about American history. I was just bored. Also, nice quote on your userpage. King Neoterikos 02:20, 18 June 2009 (UTC)
Lol thanks about the quote. And honestly, you definitely know more American history than I know Australian. Our high schools teach US History and European, and tough luck to anyone else in the whole friggin world. And all I've studied in college is American politics and history. I'm not very well balanced. XD Green Arrow 02:38, 18 June 2009 (UTC)

Oh this is totally off-topic, but as to the Jotun thing: it probably isn't made any better by [1] and the fact that they really are Giants in Norse mythology. Yet, in-game they are ogres... ?_? Green Arrow 02:44, 18 June 2009 (UTC)

It's been tested that they are ogres, Wild Blow + Ogre-slaying Knife, and see which does more damage. I know it doesn't make sense lore-wise. King Neoterikos 03:53, 18 June 2009 (UTC)
