Why?

Why do you bother tagging an image that's going to be speedy deleted? I'm only curious..... -- Wyn User Wynthyst sig icon2.png talk 07:11, 2 April 2010 (UTC)

Heh, I had a couple tabs opened (that being one of them) and I was viewing the page before the deletion tag was put on, and then I used GWWT to tag it, and only noticed the deletion tag when the edit page came up. I figured no point in reversing as if it gets deleted, it won't matter whether the tags are there or not. -- My Talk Lacky 07:19, 2 April 2010 (UTC)

Userpage

When are you going to come get it? →[ »Halogod User Halogod35 Sig.png (talk ]← 14:35, 5 April 2010 (UTC)

Hehe, after my months long hiatus, I had totally forgot about that. Thank you, my good Sir. -- My Talk Lacky 08:02, 6 April 2010 (UTC)
>.> you better grab the stuff cause I'm about to tag it. →[ »Halogod User Halogod35 Sig.png (talk ]← 12:02, 6 April 2010 (UTC)
Before it gets bagged and tagged, could you possibly do a couple of things for me, please? -- My Talk Lacky 12:09, 6 April 2010 (UTC)
Sure. →[ »Halogod User Halogod35 Sig.png (talk ]← 12:10, 6 April 2010 (UTC)
Could you possibly please update everything so that it is current with my current information (about me, userboxes, user info, links, etc.), and make all the userboxes line up properly side by side please? Also, were you able to do anything about the seasons thing? If not, don't worry about it. ^_^ Cheers! -- My Talk Lacky 12:28, 6 April 2010 (UTC)
Isn't it up to date anyway? →[ »Halogod User Halogod35 Sig.png (talk ]← 15:18, 6 April 2010 (UTC)

Well I got a tad distracted and ended up being this. Obviously that is just a test (yes I realise the blood would "bleed" (yay a pun!) but it was just a test!) and the end result could be what you want. Just have to give me specifics, if you still want me to do it. You wanted the Obey underneath, so I can always layer it under...like a ripped poster of something (?). ~Celestia 14:19, 6 April 2010 (UTC)

If I understand correctly, then yeh sure, sounds great! ^_^ Go right ahead. The text and image should be good enough, no need for posters. Also, if possible to make it on my entire page to cover up the "obey"s please? -- My Talk Lacky 16:28, 6 April 2010 (UTC)

/Obey

The giant black and white box not only covers up the name of the page but also seriously fucks up comparing different revisions. I don't really care about the obey part, but when it starts messing with the functionality of the page, it's a problem. Fix please. – Emmett 14:35, 6 April 2010 (UTC)

What's with the whole obey and blood thing anyway? →[ »Halogod User Halogod35 Sig.png (talk ]← 15:17, 6 April 2010 (UTC)
I'll look into it, Emmett. @Halo: Are you not aware of the current War in Kryta thing going on? A few users (including myself) have gotten quite involved with it. =P EDIT: @Emmett: Done. -- My Talk Lacky 17:01, 6 April 2010 (UTC)
Huh, that's really strange. Is this actually going on in game? →[ »Halogod User Halogod35 Sig.png (talk ]← 22:25, 6 April 2010 (UTC)

Hi. It's a wiki talk page, not a Geocities page. - Tanetris 20:33, 6 April 2010 (UTC)

@Halo: Yes, it's in-game and on the guildwars website/wiki/facebook/twitter. ^_^ @ Tanetris: All for fun. XD -- My Talk Lacky 02:24, 7 April 2010 (UTC)
Now your obey sign breaks the TOC. Fix, again. – Emmett 19:10, 7 April 2010 (UTC)
Is that really necessary? His talk page is only like two screens long. User Felix Omni Signature.pngelix Omni 19:28, 7 April 2010 (UTC)
Cool story. As Tanetris mentioned above, I'm pretty sure the standard is still functionality > creativity. You could come up with such rationales for basically anything you wanted, but they still wouldn't hold. – Emmett 19:30, 7 April 2010 (UTC)
Your attitude has wounded me. User Felix Omni Signature.pngelix Omni 19:35, 7 April 2010 (UTC)
What do you mean, Emmett? The TOC is perfectly fine for me? -- My Talk Lacky 20:42, 7 April 2010 (UTC)
It's broken for me. I can't click on this section, for example.--User Oneshot O.JPGneshot 20:45, 7 April 2010 (UTC)
Do you mean to say that the text/image is covering up the TOC? -- My Talk Lacky 20:47, 7 April 2010 (UTC)
Yeah, it covers 2, 3 and 4.--User Oneshot O.JPGneshot 20:51, 7 April 2010 (UTC)
Hmm, interesting. It's not covering up anything for me. If it's not too much trouble, could you possibly take a screenshot of it so that I know how far over it is, please. Cheers! -- My Talk Lacky 21:39, 7 April 2010 (UTC)
Frankly it would be better if you just removed it- as Tanetris pointed out, a user page is for people to talk to you with, not decorate more than a simple border or whatever- but the image is 1. – Emmett 22:30, 7 April 2010 (UTC)
Oh, don't worry. I'm sure it will be gone soon enough as soon as this war is over. At any rate, thanks for supplying the screenshot, I will move it over somewhat and hopefully that will make the TOC work for you. Any better? -- My Talk Lacky 22:48, 7 April 2010 (UTC)
It gets in the way of diffs too. It's the position:absolute that's the problem here... have you tried using a table, divs, or floats instead? It's not a very good way to format a page. -- pling User Pling sig.png 22:51, 7 April 2010 (UTC)
^ and it's still not fixed at all, just shifted slightly to the left. – Emmett 23:37, 7 April 2010 (UTC)

(Reset indent) (Edit conflict) Lacky, just so you know; the page width and therefore the placement of the TOC is affected by the browser size and resolution, but the image does not move position i.e. It's always a set amount of pixels in. It's fine for me on my computer, but on my iPhone (like now) it obscures the TOC. Shadow Runner 22:59, 7 April 2010 (UTC)

Should be all good now, hopefully. -- My Talk Lacky 00:32, 8 April 2010 (UTC)

From the streets of Cavalon, to the sound of the modern gun... I've read the script, rehearsed the dream, faking death at the battle scene. Koda User Koda Kumi UT.jpeg Kumi 21:13, 9 April 2010 (UTC)

I uploaded this for anyone who wants to use it, may make you page smaller if you put it over your userpage :) File:User Phnzdvn Obey 3.png --User Phnzdvn sig.png Phnzdvn 18:08, 6 April 2010 (UTC)

Your monobook.js

You are not reading the installation instructions for the scripts. You don't need to copy the entire program, only the install scripts. That's why your monobook.js is 100 times larger than anyone else's in the history of the world. Things might work properly if you were using them properly. -- Wyn User Wynthyst sig icon2.png talk 06:03, 24 April 2010 (UTC)

"That's why your monobook.js is 100 timers larger than anyone else's in the history of the world." - Lol. XD
Also, I got wikEd to work now too. -- My Talk Lacky 06:23, 24 April 2010 (UTC)
You know that pokes automatic patrol script only works if you are a sysop, and that he's got a better code for creating personalized links in your navigation box than MyWiki Links..... Take a look at my User:Wynthyst/monobook.js. I'm using GWWT, and his nav additions, as well as his controls for hiding specific things from my RC, and my js page is absolutely tiny... doesn't have any of the actual script in it at all.... -- Wyn User Wynthyst sig icon2.png talk 08:18, 24 April 2010 (UTC)
Yeh, after reading what you guys posted at HELP:WIKI I realised. I reverted my monobook.js to back before I started trying to used wikEd and it all seems to work and be good now, hope I won't/don't screw anything up in it. I will check yours out and see if I can figure something out. Thanks for the help! -- My Talk Lacky 08:22, 24 April 2010 (UTC)
The problem you will eventually run into by copying the entire script is that you will miss out on any updates that the authors make to the scripts. -- Wyn User Wynthyst sig icon2.png talk 08:24, 24 April 2010 (UTC)
I thought you could only SUBST: things into your .js/.css file and that transcluding doesn't work? How do you get the updates without having to update your .js/.css file(s)? -- My Talk Lacky 08:27, 24 April 2010 (UTC)
Well, I have the full (non sysop) functionality of GWWT, and get the benefits of any updates poke makes to his script without having to change my .js file... I guess I read and followed his instructions. -- Wyn User Wynthyst sig icon2.png talk 08:33, 24 April 2010 (UTC)
I think I get the updates, I'm just not sure... -- My Talk Lacky 08:35, 24 April 2010 (UTC)
