Issue
-Not bad skill, but again, since everything else is being active, making this one active too
-Recharge ineffective in preventing 2 Searing Flames while foes cast 10 or more in one battle.
Suggestion

15 Energy1 Activation time25 Recharge time - (Communing) - Binding Ritual. "Create a level 1...8...10 Spirit. Damage taken by non-spirit allies Union's range are reduced by 20. Hexed allies gain damage reduction 30 instead. Union dies after 6 seconds." For every 3 ranks in Spawning Power, Union lasts 1 second longer.

Dies too easily

Issue
This is a passive skill with a long activation time which even in small arenas gives you a very short burst of protection. It's effect isn't bad in itself, but it is bad for long-term protection and the cast time means it can't be used in emergencies.
Suggestion
Allow the spirit to live a bit longer, and make it so that it only takes damage equal to what it negated (currently wanding will kill this very quickly).
10 Energy 2 Activation time 30 Recharge time
Binding Ritual. Create a level 1...8...10 Spirit. Whenever a non-Spirit ally in its range takes damage, that damage is reduced by 3...15...18 and the Spirit loses Health equal to the amount it negated. This Spirit dies after 15...39...45 seconds.
Being a higher level and taking less damage would make this a bit more versetile. The lower recharge and faster cast time also make it generally better, and that little bit less passive.

Issue
The spirit loses too much health by blocking harmless incoming attacks (like staff/wand attacks from average enemys) and dies too quick. It dies way too quick, to take out pressure.
Idea
Use the new spirit abiltiy to burn to creat a version of union, which takes enaugh damage for reducing but that doesn't die too quick.
Suggestion

15 Energy3 Activation time45 Recharge time - (Communing) - Binding Ritual. Create a level 1...11...13 Spirit. Whenever a non-Spirit ally in its range takes damage, that damage is reduced by 10, the Spirit takes 5 damage and burns for 2 seconds. If the Spirit already burns, it burns for 2 seconds longer. This Spirit dies after 20...32...35 seconds. Discussion

Issue
Long activation and recharge makes it far from useful in PvP
Suggestion
Change to something like this

Union (PvP) 5 Energy1 Activation time5 Recharge time Binding Ritual. Create a level 1...7...8 spirit that lasts for 1...8...10 seconds which reduces the damage taken by allies within its range by 15. Each time damage is reduced the spirit takes 30...10...5 damage.

This would make it more viable in PvP by making it more mobile.

Issue
It effects summons. In pve, you have to choose "take a mm or the rit" and the mm will always get the vote because meat shields are more effective than weak party prot.
Solution
Make it not affect summoned creatures.
