Hundred Blades
Life Infusion Issue -- 21:20, 2 March 2008 (UTC)
- Issue
- weak elite that is only elite because of Illusionary Weaponry
- high recharge
- no bonus damage
- energy based
- no bleeding
- Suggestion
- cannot be blocked
- 1 activation
- 4 recharge
"Swing twice at target foe. This attack cannot be blocked and causes bleeding for 10...22...25 seconds." (5e/1c/4r) which would act as a opener for gash.
- Suggestion 2 (PvE oriented)
- 5 recharge
- "Swing at target foe and foes adjacent to your target. Struck foes bleed for 3...21...25 seconds." (5e/5r)
Lilondra's issue
- Issue
- High recharge
- Barely damage if not combined with a conjure or something like it
- no bonus damage
- energy based
- The main purpose would be building adrenaline but it even fails at that bcause of the recharge.
- Suggestion
"Swing 3 times at target foe." (5e/6r)
- Suggestion 2 (PvE oriented)
- Make it an adrenal attack with a recharge of 1-2 secunds.
- "Swing twice at target foe. These attacks can not be blocked" (5 adrenaline/1r)
Gerome's issue
- Issue
- High recharge
- Needs to do more than just hit twice
- Suggestion
"Swing twice at target foe. This attack cannot be blocked" (Keep same Enegy cost at 5, Lower Recharge time to 4)
Prokiller88's Issue
- Issue
- High recharge. Does less damage compared to triple/cyclone axe. Does alot less damage compared to volley and barrage respectively.
- Suggestion
- Change to
"Elite Sword Attack. This attack hits twice, if it hits it deals +1...13...15 damage and is unblockable." 6 Adrenaline
Solution
- Issue
- Doesn't deserve to be elite
- Suggestion
- Change this skill to non-elite. Change the description to "+1...9...12 damage. If you have a Mesmer enchantment, it has no area of effect"
Lann's Issue -- 12 June, 2008
- Issue
Poor elite, no +dmg, outclassed by cyclone axe and triple chop
- Suggestion
Give it some +damage similar to cyclone axe 1...11...14.
Wisteria's Issue
- Issue
See others
- Suggestion
8a Elite Sword Attack. If this attack hits, target foe takes +1..10 damage and has cracked armor for 1..10..10 seconds. If this skill is blocked, it is disabled for 15 seconds.
Shai Meliamne's Issue -- 15 June, 2008
- Issue
- -No +Damage
- -Blockable and thus inferior to Sun and Moon Slash
- -Hits only foes in front of you, making this inferior to a scythe in general and inferior to Cyclone Axe and Triple Chop
- Suggestions
- 1. Remove the "And all Adjacent Foes" part and make it non elite - thus creating an energy based blockable version of Sun and Moon Slash
- 2. Remove the "And all Adjacent Foes" part and make it unblockable - thus creating an energy based version of Sun and Moon Slash
- 3. Make it in the area instead of adjacent so at least it outclasses the scythe in opponents it can hit
- 4. Add damage (+5..20 or sumthing) to make it more or less equal to a double cyclone axe and more or less equal to tripple chop (although with conjures this more or less will more likely be more)
- 5. Add a condition such as bleeding
- 6. Change functionality to: "5e, 10r: You swing twice at target and adjacent foes. For each successfull hit, this skill recharges 0..2s faster" making this a more usefull skill while needing skillfull play to get the full power of this skill
Improvement needed
- Issue
- 1) See above. And above that. And above that. And so on.
- 2) Buffing this skill too much would make it imba since it can hit a highly variable number of times, based on how many enemies are next to you (although admittedly enemies don't often clump up around warriors, at least not in PvP).
- Suggestion
- Limit the number of attacks more but then buff it up, like this:
- 5 5
- Elite Sword Attack. Make two unblockable swings at target foe and one normal one at up to 0...2...3 other foes adjacent to your target. These attacks deal +5...17...20 damage.
- This would make the skill a lot more powerful, but at most it's only going to hit 5 times (meaning that bonus damage from conjures, Strength of Honour, Brutal Weapon et.c. is limited, even if it is a fairly high limit). Compared to Cyclone Axe, it does more damage and the first two attacks are unblockable, which balances out the fact that this is elite. It also has good synergy with Sun and Moon Slash, but it shouldn't be OP given the lack of Deep Wound that Eviscerate or Cripling Slash -> Gash would give. However, it would at least be more useful, especially given the combination of two unblockable attacks (considering the block-heavy meta currently) with bonus damage.
See Above
- Issue
- 1) See Above posts
- Suggestion
- Izzy says swords spread bleeding. Swords have no good way to spread bleeding. Make this a good way to spread bleeding.
2a Elite Sword Attack Swing twice at target foe and adjacent foes, these attacks does +1..+10..+12 damage and cause bleeding for 5...21..25 seconds.
Quivering Blade
Edi's Issue -- 14:57, 8 March 2008 (UTC)
- Issue
This skill obviously was intended to work in conjunction with i.e. Plague Touch. However it's meaningless to transfer Dazed on Monk, when you can't hit him to trigger Dazed effects. Transfering to other Monk is as effective as it should be. Also in terms of damage/pressure Dragon Slash is much better.
- Suggestion
Rework as an elite version of Sever Artery
- 5 Elite Sword Attack. If Quivering Blade hits, you strike for +10...34...40 damage and target foe begins bleeding for 10..22..26 seconds.
Lann's Issue -- 12 June, 2008
- Issue
Poor side effect. Bonus damage is nice though.
- Suggestion
Make it a sword version of Eviscerate (with bleeding instead of deepwound).
Sneakys Suggestion 18 June 2008
- Problems
- Bad Side Effects
- Better Elites out there
- Suggestion
- 6 Elite Sword Attack. If Quivering Blade hits, you strike for +10...21...27 damage and targe foe suffers from Cracked Armor for 15 seconds. If Quivering Blade is Blocked you suffer from Cracked Armor and Weakness for 10s.
lessen the damage and cause a condition well suited for sword wars, instead of disabling and causing daze that doesnt effect the war much make it cause 2 conditions that hinder the war slightly. Sneaky Take a Bow 01:48, 19 June 2008 (UTC)
Unused skill
- Issue
- In theory this skill will do good damage for low adrenaline but when blocked it's disabled (and in the current meta there's a lot of blocking). However, the idea then is that you can use Plague Touch or somesuch to throw the Daze you get onto your target (like Headbutt).
- The only problem with this is that it's not powerful on it's own (Cleave does the same damage and is for a preferred weapon, yet it still isn't take), and that the disable duration hurts. What's more, if you don't go W/N, the Daze doesn't make up for it at all, and if you do you still have to use up your secondary and a skill slot.
- Suggestion
- Quivering Blade. 3 .
- Elite Sword Attack. If Quivering Blade hits you strike for +8...27...32. If it strikes a critical hit, it deals a further 4...14...16 damage and causes Weakness and Bleeding on your target for 3...10...12 seconds. If Quivering Blade is Blocked, it is disabled for 4 seconds and you are Dazed for 8 seconds.
- Reasoning
- Adding a bonus on a critical hit would improve the skill, especially if combined with the lower cost since it would be more spammable. However, the block effect still applies so warriors who simply used it mindlessly wouldn't be able to spam it since it would likely get blocked, and thus disabled (although they would still be able to use Plague Touch to throw the Daze back on people).
- In essence, it would (hopefully) promote skilled play since the ideal thing to do would be lineback or attack someone without blocks with it (though ofc their monks may still help them out, but not straight away, and there're Aegis and things, but they're falling out of favour a bit anyway). Alternately, you could get blocked with it then use Plague Sending or whatever to throw the Daze onto a different target, then attack them.
- What's more, the critical bit couldn't really be abused, because sword sins (who would get loads of use from this) don't get much of a benefit from criticals compared to sins with other weapons.
