energy stealing for chants

/agree. Good you moved it, but I guess your suggestion will be ignored like most of the good ideas on the wiki... :/ A. von Rin 15:25, 25 March 2008 (UTC)

Let us hope the best ;) —ZerphatalkThe Improver 18:43, 25 March 2008 (UTC)
Well, It probly will be ignored, since this is probly on the bottom of the compost pile. File:Nuclear7 sig image2.jpg nuke7 File:Nuclear7 sig image2.jpg 21:26, 25 March 2008 (UTC)
at least we have an anwer from izzy now, looks like this skill gets attention :) —ZerphatalkThe Improver 16:37, 26 March 2008 (UTC)
Nice, Izzy is alive... ^^ Good, so the bug will be fixed at least. A. von Rin 17:48, 26 March 2008 (UTC)
I think an elite version of Power Leak / Power Drain would be neat, just maybe 20 energy is a little too much. 66.25.22.44 16:51, 27 March 2008 (UTC)
Why? Its elite and there are comparable spells..--SiDima 00:55, 28 March 2008 (UTC)
Eh... At 11 inspiration, which isn't uncommon, you'd have a 32-energy swing, which is broken. Changing it to 5/0.25/10 and a small drain (1...7...8 or so) keeps it on par with PLeak, while fueling itself and providing an interrupt. That's more of what inspiration should be imo. ~Seef II <|۞> 20:30, 28 March 2008 (UTC)
How is that on par? 20 energy lost vs 8energy stolen? As far as I understand "elite" means the skill has a certain advantage over non elite skills, such as being an energy management and e-denial at the same time. In any case all you are doing is combining pleak and pdrain which means you use an elite slot to save on a skill space while losing an interrupt.--SiDima 03:46, 29 March 2008 (UTC)
Not always, sidima. Being elite means you can't have another skill with elite stats skills. Now, some some elites also allow you to do things your class can't, RTL and SV come to mind. But yeah, YOu'd expect an elite to be slightly stronger (tho there are a few non elites that are really gooood.) I like the energy stealing for chants (which would hurt paragons, but I guess that's fine), but I dislike SiDima's and Unti's suggestions. The current mechanic is soo good for playing mind games. Plus I don't think this is underpowered. If it was a Dom or Illu elite, everyone would be packing it; the only thing keeping it back is having little else in insp to play with, which is just fine, imho 134.130.4.46 15:50, 14 April 2008 (UTC)
The current mechanic is good for being a moron. If your team hasn't laughed at you yet, your opponent sure will. If you still dont understand, the most this skill will steal from a monk is 7 energy, thats a single hex removal being cast. As for anyone else they really dont lose anything when the monk removes it or they can simply wait for 10 sec. And as far as the elite should be good issue, this definitely should be because the only other reason to make a skill elite is an overpowering synergy and there isnt such thing in this case..--SiDima 19:06, 24 April 2008 (UTC)

I third SiDima's suggestion. moush 20:07, 23 April 2008 (UTC)

They try to remove it, it gets Pleaked. This does more than just steam mediocre amounts of energy. -- NUKLEAR User NuclearVII signature 3.jpgIIV 19:46, 5 June 2008 (UTC)
If a mesmer is bringing an elite hex and can't at least severely hinder its removal, then indeed they are a moron and should be laughed at. However, that has nothing to do with PLeech. FYI:
  1. Wastrel's Worry is a cover hex.
  2. As nuclear said, PLeech needn't be your only interrupt, and you know they'll try to remove the hex...
  3. Most hex removal has a poorer recharge than PLeech.
  4. If anyone decides to outwait the 10s, guess which skill will interrupt the next spell they try to cast afterwards?
And you have got to be kidding by suggesting this wasn't eliteworty. The recharge alone makes it. Which, btw, means that Unti's sugestion is completely ridiculous. A 5e, 5r interrupt that also hexes and steals energy? As for your (SiDima's) suggestion, I guess they did nerf PLeak because they intended to reintroduce it as a way more powerful elite that also doubles as energy management for the mesmer. Or somesuch. 134.130.4.46 01:21, 29 July 2008 (UTC)
