Explanations about this topic -- Stomatium 17:27, 5 February 2009 (UTC)

My suggestions would allow to :

  1. Stay coherent and logical with the in-game description of Divine Favor.
  2. Give to the monk profession at last some tools for its energy management :
    • El have Energy Storage, A, Critical Strikes; Me, Inspiration Magic; N, Soul Reaping; D, Mysticism; R, Expertise; etc...
    • But what currently do have Monks ?
    • This bunch of 4 skills would allow any kind of monks to have e-management, be they healers, prot., smith., signet or upkeep skill users.
  3. Give more interest to the Divine Favor because :
    • When disscused about it online with players, this attribute is more often than not, unpopular.
    • Too weak to be a primary, it is less useful than the secondaries Protection Prayers and Healing ones.
    • Has little to bring to Smithing Prayers.
  4. Avoid abusive builds :
    • Belonging all to the primary attribute, those skills can't be exploited for abusive x/M builds.
    • Being mostly elites, they are mutually exclusive, therefore forbid a stacking effect in a M build.
  5. Solve an issue for :
    • Propheties players who cannot choose or switch to a secondary so easily for their e-management.
    • Heros monks to whom you can't spend too much characteristic points into a secondary, if you want them to stay efficient in their primary profession.
    • Monk players simply kicked out from large groups because they are dry out of energy after 5/6 spells cast and can't equal N/x, Rt/x...with "heal-the-whole-party" builds.
  6. Synergize well with other monk skills and would bring them a new interest, appeal and use among the community (well, I hope so).
    • Boon Signet is an hybrid skill, healing and managing energy at the same time. + would provide a new "multi target" skill (I think there is currently too few of them).
    • Divine Spirit would be simply a playable non-elite skill for a Monk's management. Do you think it is logical that Glyph of Lesser Energy with 0 investment stay better than the current Divine Spirit with 12 investment ?
    • Peace & Harmony would meet its original aim again and allow the use of upkeeping energy skills. Should I recall that nearly all upkeep energy skills belong to Monks ?
    • Scribe's Insight would be an interesting solution to use signets together with expansive spells. Those kind of skills are usually discarded because of their too high constraints.

Finally if you are affraid of brining e-mangement to monks because of possible PvP issues, just think PvE/PvP skill splitting. You were very wise to introduce this option, so just use it if needed ; but please don't punish PvE players because of PvP issues....

not a single of your suggestions would find play, and those skills are all played except for Scribe's Insight, which would be used alongside Mantra of Inscriptions, which is a better version of your suggestion. tbh I really wanted to tell you to uninstall when I read this =/ but I try to be more polite on gww. ---Chaos- 18:57, 5 February 2009 (UTC)
you are so polite Chaos...I'm not :D Go uninstall. Every one of those spell are actually played Divine Spirit is fine atm, I use it inn HB from time to time to manage my monk hero's energy, boon signet I think has become better after the recent update and P&H...it really helpos against hex gay teams and IMO that a good thing and I dont even thing it's OP'd because it has rather longish recharge and does not provide same heal effect as RC for instance. There is an energy management skill atm in divine favor, Sribe's and Divine. --Super Igor User Super Igor siggy.jpg flame my shove sin bar! 13:21, 10 February 2009 (UTC)

Hi Chaos Messenger and Super Igor. It is obviously your whole right to disagree with me, but your comments are slightly out of topic. Actually, I try to explain the issue with Divine Favor and energy management linked to it (see the header); not about the fact that skills are played or not by yourselves. I suggest you to delete your comments or better, to bring arguments linked to this topic. Have a nice day. By the way, politeness and courtesy are fundamental guidelines when writing on a Wiki....

no comments are to be deleted unless they're NPA's or spam etc. It's completely related to the topic since you're trying to improve a game when we're telling you you're wrong. And please use colons to indent. ---Chaos- 15:12, 10 February 2009 (UTC)

It should definitely be noted that just because a skill doesn't say "you gain x energy" or "your next spell(s) cost x less energy" doesn't mean it's not energy management. Word of Healing is energy management because it's a strong 5e heal. The current Boon signet (and every other healing signet) is e-management because it heals without costing any Energy. 74.215.152.151 23:29, 21 March 2009 (UTC)
