Except no1 uses this. Dark Morphon(contribs) 07:59, 3 March 2008 (UTC)

Not here to make any statement on ´the sugestion, but I should point out that it's impossible to attack while knowcked down, so the KD lock situation described is in fact not possible ingame. Backsword 08:10, 3 March 2008 (UTC)
Compare this to Unsteady ground. --Life Infusion «T» 04:51, 4 March 2008 (UTC)
Nobody uses this so why nerf it? Dutchsmurf 13:40, 4 March 2008 (UTC)
Aggreed. This should get a rework and shouldn't get nerfed. Dark Morphon(contribs) 16:31, 5 March 2008 (UTC)
Blindness > Soul Bind.

There is no knocklock risk. The knockdown condition is wholly dependent on attacking, and being actively hexed by the target. It has a heavy energy investment (the initial and subsequent crappy hexes. Nobody casts Wastrel's Worry and Parasitic Bond for their effects, especially the latter's 1 degeneration.), and its effect hinges wholly upon a single skill sticking. Blindness and block effects are much scarier, more flexible, and are actually competitively played. Soul Bind probably shouldn't be buffed into competitive play, but it doesn't exactly need nerfing either. MA Anathe 18:48, 5 March 2008 (UTC)

weakness or blind > this , not point on nerfing it 189.70.153.219 20:24, 7 March 2008 (UTC)

it needs a buff Moush 17:34, 27 March 2008 (UTC)
Imma go out on a limb and say that this is fine. Sure, It fucks up melee when it camps melee, but so does a Bsurge. I think it's just in the right niche. -- NUKLEAR User NuclearVII signature 3.jpgIIV 22:05, 26 April 2008 (UTC)
necs can't take advantage of the knockdown, spamming hexes gets expensive, the target can quit attacking for a while. i know this shit with wastrel's worry works good in ra, which say about everything. --Frozen Archer 00:26, 12 June 2008 (UTC)
Energy problems? On my necromancer? -- NUKLEAR User NuclearVII signature 3.jpgIIV 10:13, 12 June 2008 (UTC)

hold on lets compare for a min Soul Bind(elite) Vs Scourge Healing, energy (SB 10e:SH 10e), cast (SB 1sec:SH 2sec), Recharge(SB 5s:SH 5s), damage at R12 (SB 68:SH 67), the fact that SH is in smiting and this is curse does change much, question is why take this when other elites have better effects?--Metal Sazz 23:40, 12 June 2008 (UTC)

Amusingly, I read what you said, and just when I was going to type a "WTH" kind of comment, I read the new skill update. Wow. I guess you are right then, the new version is horrible. Of course, It is in Curses, which is pretty decent, but Spoil Victor totaly trashes it. Huh. -- NUKLEAR User NuclearVII signature 3.jpgIIV 14:34, 13 June 2008 (UTC)
After turning on my brain, I'd like to post a correction - the new version is win. -- NUKLEAR User NuclearVII signature 3.jpgIIV 21:23, 19 June 2008 (UTC)

yeah i tested this build out myself too, it's not bad, gives the monk something to think about for sure. all tho i would still like to have the numbers for this be slightly better then SH --Metal Sazz 06:28, 13 July 2008 (UTC)

Done25's Issue

Yeah, i also thought about that. except for having half the casting time, i don't think another attribute or class justifies a skill being an elite if the other one isn't. —ZerphatalkThe Improver 20:54, 14 June 2008 (UTC)

I agree. I don't really like the concept of having two almost identical skills in two completely different professions, especially if they cancel each other. oO" LunarEffectUser LunarEffect Moon.png 13:45, 16 June 2008 (UTC)

What's wrong with this skill? I like the new version. Dark Morphon(contribs) 17:43, 19 June 2008 (UTC)

One second activation vs two seconds on Scourge is a pretty big difference when it comes to bypassing interrupts. Combine that with the fact it's in a useful attribute line does make a huge difference and justifies it's elite status. I will concede the fact it is nearly identical to Scourge Healing is very boring, but this may open a window for Scourge Healing to be completely reworked. --Rururrur 22:05, 19 June 2008 (UTC)

Readem's Discussion

Does more damage than Backfire? Backfire does 60 more damage at rank 15. How is that even close? Done25 15:05, 14 August 2008 (UTC)

Look at the duration of backfire. Look at the duration of Soul bind. Tell me you know fucking anything about party-heals. Then come and talk with me, kk? --Readem 02:44, 15 August 2008 (UTC)
One - If you don't have anything nice to say don't say anything at all. Didn't you ever watch Bambi? Two - THIS SKILL IS AN ELITE THAT TRIGGERS ONLY ON HEALING! Duh it is going to have a better duration. Done25 02:50, 15 August 2008 (UTC)
you are bad at gw and at making witty remarks. please stop. --Readem 02:54, 15 August 2008 (UTC)
@done25 ever hurd of heal party?Demosthenes 17:58, 5 September 2008 (UTC)

omg, nerf this skill. it is fucking gayyy --Readem 04:19, 18 September 2008 (UTC)

this skill is a joke. 68.35.89.5 07:26, 12 October 2008 (UTC)

Marcdarc's Suggestion

I was thinking this would be a unique ability for this skill. Comments? ~ Da Si 01:11, 20 October 2008 (UTC)

"For 5..15..17 seconds, target foe dies. If you run two copies of this skill, you win Guild Wars." --80.237.152.53 01:22, 20 October 2008 (UTC)
That last suggestion wasn't particularly helpful or useful... though I suppose there's many ways they could make it more original, say for example, in addition to the current version, every time for is healed, foe loses an enchantment. However, that would then pose a new problem that it could render Corrupt Enchantments useless. So the other solution would be to give them a condition everytime hexed foe is healed. --Ugg McFly 18:02, 23 October 2008 (UTC)

this skill is already op. Don't buff it lol. --Readem 02:02, 8 January 2009 (UTC)
