Corpse control is a tactic involving the use of quick casting, low Energy spells to deny the control over corpses for the opposing team. Wells, or cause damage through the use of Putrid Explosion. The spells that are used for this tactic are only necromancer spells.
In PvP, the most usual tactic involves mesmers using them, due to the Fast Casting attribute.
Corpse control spells[edit]
- Aura of the Lich (elite) - Longer activation time, but affects all corpses in earshot
- Necrotic Traversal - shortest activation time, no recharge, low cost
- Consume Corpse - no recharge, lowest cost factoring the energy gain.
- Soul Feast - no recharge
- Putrid Explosion - 5s recharge
- Well of Weariness -5s recharge
- Well of Blood -2s recharge
The following skills can also work, but their higher recharge time can make them less effective if used on their own :
- Well of Suffering - 10s recharge
- Well of Power (elite) -15 s recharge
- Well of Darkness - 20s recharge
- Well of Silence - 20s recharge
