ReportedUsing a Disco Ball in Menagerie Outpost shows no fireworks.

Just tested this twice in the Zaishen Menagerie Outpost. Using a Disco ball results in the "Player XXX has started a fireworks display." message. But no fireworks appear, nor are any firework sounds heard. Anon-e-mouse 23:41, 5 September 2009 (UTC)

Reported Northern Portal from The Black Curtain to Cursed Lands areas has a bugged part.

I was exploring Kryta today when I turned on auto run to walk through the northern portal to the Cursed Lands, and I looked away for a split second, and looked back to find myself on what would be the Cursed Lands side of the portal, only my character was still registered as being in the Black Curtain area. I went back to the portal (which being on the opposite side of it teleported me to the Cursed Lands where I returned to check the spot again. The bugged section is at the northern end of the portal, and this bug can be reproduced by running against the wall at the portal. Lordmccoy 18:06, 8 September 2009 (UTC)

I've entered this into the database, good catch! Leah Rivera 21:05, 3 November 2009 (UTC)

Reported Map bug when party leader changes to HM.

I had the map zoomed out when my party leader changed our group to Hard Mode, and all of the area vanquishing symbols popped up (while still zoomed out). Zooming in and then back out again fixed it. We were in Sifhalla German district 1, if I remember correctly. I had him repeat the issue multiple times in that district, but haven't checked elsewhere. It was actually useful for pinpointing the areas we have left to vanquish, but a bug nonetheless. --Admos 15:29, 20 September 2009 (UTC)

Neat bug! I've added this to the database, thanks for the help. Leah Rivera 23:55, 3 November 2009 (UTC)

Reported/aion and /zrank

It seem these emotes use the same "time counter" and therefore cannot be used one after another. If you use /aion you have to wait 30 seconds before you can use /zrank and vice versa. --Metatail 19:56, 25 September 2009 (UTC)

I'm inquiring about this. Thanks. -Kim Chase 23:55, 23 October 2009 (UTC)

Reported Crash bug when hitting "Conversion key" in Japanese 109keyboard

GuildWars Client is Crashed when using "Conversion key(in Japanese, ????)", in Japanese 109 keyborad. Japanese users mainly use this type of keyboard, and not only me but at least 3 people face this crush. This occurs highly, almost 100%, so I strongly hope to be correcting this bug.

Other Environment: Windows Vista Home Premium SP1, Japanese Microsoft IME(10.0.6001.0)

Thank you for your report. The issue has been tracked down and should be fixed, could you please try again to verify? Leah Rivera 19:33, 9 November 2009 (UTC)

Reported salvaging network crash

while salvaging a healing ankh +3 energy in the catacombs, a network error pops up and asks if you want to reconnect.

Sounds like the known salvage bug. ··· Danny Pew Pew 20:32, 19 October 2009 (UTC)
There is still salvage errors. Get 20 or more feathered crests(for example), put your salvage kit next to the feathered crests, try to salvage them very fast, the game will disconnect, even if they are not put next to each other. The game will disconnect when you salvage things very fast.--Wealedout 14:07, 24 October 2009 (UTC)
We have an open bug on salvaging related network crashes. However, any more details you guys can provide would be very helpful. --Andrew Patrick 20:45, 9 March 2010 (UTC)

Reported Can't use Heros in the Zaishen Challenge and Zaishen Elite areas

The preceding unsigned comment was added by 75.104.16.78 (talk) at 01:44, 01 November 2009 (UTC).

Umm, It's supposed to be that way. - Reanimated X 07:01, 1 November 2009 (UTC)
Is it? I missed the part of the release notes that said that they intended to remove heroes from this part of the game that doesn't include other players. Although these two arenas are in the battle isles, aren't they more PvE than PvP?   — Tennessee Ernie Ford (TEF) 10:00, 1 November 2009 (UTC)
As far as I've heard, they only removed heroes from HA and GvG - Zaishen Elite was never mentioned. ··· Danny Pew Pew 17:33, 1 November 2009 (UTC)
I sign it. I'd like them to be back again. --80.54.150.1 23:35, 8 November 2009 (UTC)
Removing them was an unintended side-effect of removing them from other PvP formats. This has been reported, thanks! --Andrew Patrick 22:02, 5 January 2010 (UTC)
So.. will this be fixed soon? Its about 6 months now since u introduced this bug with an update and when it comes to forming pug groups (which fails most of the time due to lack of people doing this), you have 80% of the time at least one leaver before you can get even half of the maximum out of your daily faction cap. Quite annoying. And the Zaishen Henchmen u can use.. well n/c about their useability when facing 8+ foes oO. Regards

This issue has been reported. Thanks! --Andrew Patrick 22:12, 5 January 2010 (UTC)
I might be a bit too late in responding to this, but those npcs do react, but only when you step in certain locations in that area. If you go right, instead of left, past the hill leading up to that particular group, not only will they aggro, but another group will spawn as well. Low level groups need to be careful in this area, or they should avoid it altogether. 55 monks shouldn't have any trouble though ;). --98.115.74.150 09:46, 11 May 2010 (UTC)

Reported guild hall button

Reported costumes on the character select screen

  1. When first loggin in, any characters wearing costumes appear in their normal armor. Once you log in with that character and then return to character select screen, the character will then appear in the costume until you close the client. Then the issue starts over.
  2. By extension, once your character is shown in the costume on the character select screen, Dwayna costume appears gray no matter what color it's dyed. when it's actually dyed white when obtained from the costume maker. Other colors appear properly once dye was applied to the costume. Grenth costume appears dyed, but seems to be the wrong color. User Rose Of Kali SIG.jpgRose Of Kali 15:01, 18 December 2009 (UTC)
  3. If the costume hat is set to show, but the real headgear is set to hide, then the costume headgear appears properly in-game, but does not appear on the character select screen after logging in with that character and then returning to the CCS. User Rose Of Kali SIG.jpgRose Of Kali 18:10, 18 December 2009 (UTC)
  4. If the hat and normal headgear are both set to hidden in the inventory, then the body costume will appear on the character select screen every time you start GW, without logging into that character first. Otherwise no costumes will appear on the CCS when the client is first opened. User Rose Of Kali SIG.jpgRose Of Kali 17:37, 29 December 2009 (UTC)
These issues have all been reported. Thanks for letting us know! --Andrew Patrick 20:44, 9 March 2010 (UTC)

Reported Costume conflicts with armor dye preview

If a costume is set to show in town/outpost, and a dye is applied to armor, the dye preview shows the costume instead of the sample colored armor. 76.164.111.57 20:24, 20 December 2009 (UTC)

Same as trying to dye an offhand when wielding a 2-handed weapon. You must unequip the 2-handed weapon to dye-preview an offhand, and similarly hide the costume to dye-preview normal armor. User Rose Of Kali SIG.jpgRose Of Kali 17:40, 29 December 2009 (UTC)
This issue has been reported. That said, I don't know how likely it is to be changed. Your costume is displayed in three separate areas: in-game, in your inventory screen and in this case, your dye preview screen. Making it appear in two of those while not appearing in a third would likely take some fancy code (and/or voodoo magic) and may cause issues when players are attempting to actually dye their costumes. Like I said, I reported this and if it can be fixed it likely will be, but I think it's just assumed players will know to unequip or hide their costumes prior to dying things those costumes are currently covering. Thanks for the report, though. --Andrew Patrick 21:12, 9 March 2010 (UTC)

ReportedJehrono sells normal crafting materials instead of rare materials

Jehrono is supposed to be a rare material trader, but sells normal materials. This is the guy you get in Melonni Goes Recruiting. He's been like this since NF came out. - Mini Me talk 14:02, 22 December 2009

Reported Creating characters on non-existent accounts

Have someone give you a guest invite, join the observer mode and after joining the match, doubleclick the guest invite instantly. Nothing will happen except for a message saying Error 034. Click OK and you are logged out, but less than a second later, GW will automatically log you in again and show you the character creation screen, even if there are no slots free in your account. Anyway, you cannot finish the new char process and get character slots for free. :'( If you have a free slot, GW will create the character normally. All your settings are used from the original account, but if you cancel the creation progress or log out to character selection, GW will only show you 4 slots (one of which is used by the created character if you created one) and say that you don't have any campaigns. Sometimes it's possible to start the character creation process again. If you log out of the non-existent account and login with the original account again, the created character is part of that account. So please ANet, I want my free character slots for reporting this bug, please. --numma_cway 23:42, 22 December 2009 (UTC)

This happened to me too. I was observing an guild battle, and then tried to go to Kamadan Dist 1 and it said that the district is being closed (error 19), logged me out and caused the same thing to me too. Character creation screen, and 4 empty character slots, and none of my old characters were there. I logged out and re-logged on and everything was back to normal, but that freaked me out a bit since I thought, oh no someone hacked my account. :-) 96.18.167.159 23:15, 23 December 2009 (UTC)

Reported Observer Mode Crash

Its been almost a year since I reported it to Anet so I'll put this here. While in observer mode, the client will crash if you open or close a hero control panel. This will only occur if the hero corresponding to the particular hotkey is active. So if I took Koss out as hero No.1 and Melonni for No.2, then entered observer mode, hitting the hotkey's for each of their control panels in will cause the game to crash, but the hotkey for Hero No.3 will do nothing. This crash is 100% consistent so far. The hotkeys I am using are 0 - = (heroes 1, 2, 3).

Thanks for posting! The issue has been submitted to the database. --Michelle Juett 23:44, 6 January 2010 (UTC)

Reported Destructions Depths Mission - Vanguard change to hostile

The vanguard monk in the SW corner , next to the exit on level one, turned hostile when saved. The monk was the only one I managed to save, he turned hostile, and the warriors respawned and turned hostile as well. Not sure if the monk raised them or not. Reported Hunter's Isle glitch

I found what appears to be a glitch, a minor one, but one nonetheless. On the two right towers of the hall, you can fall in a crack. I haven't been able to test it, but it may go so far as to be able to attack from that position as there is a clear line of fire. Dispite the verical face, it is easy to walk on. here is a list of screenshots i took when I discovered the glitch. The last two are simply for the compass points to tell you where the glitch was.

There's tons of little map glitches like this all over the game. — PmaN  06:14, 10 January 2010 (UTC)
Ya, I figured it may be the case, but I thought It couldn't hurt to tell.P.S. I'm sorry I forgot to sign first post, so i'll sign this one.--Bold Baby Undies 06:17, 10 January 2010 (UTC)
I went back to test whether or not it you could attack from in the crack. it turns out you cant, so there is no advantage gained by this glitch. So... if you ask me this glitch is irrelevant to anything as it niether helps nor hinders the gameplay.--Bold Baby Undies 22:51, 30 January 2010 (UTC)

Reported Patch of Ground not Navigable

In Arbor Bay, near the Big Machine Krewe Member closest to Ventari, there is an area of ground that cannot be traversed as if there was something there blocking the way but in fact there is nothing. This patch of ground is located East (about 8 degrees to the South of East to be more exact) from the Big Machine Krewe Member, just across the body of water on the South West side of the 2 large trees.

Thank you for such a detailed post--this is precisely the info we need to track these issues down! I have reported this to have it looked at, thanks again. --Andrew Patrick 23:40, 9 March 2010 (UTC)

Reported Two tonic uses per map

It is easily possible to use two tonics on every map by clicking on an npc in the distance and using two tonics during the time the character is moving towards the NPC. This can be done with the same tonic or two different tonics (in which case the first will show until you come to a stop at which time it will swap to the second graphic). Seryu 03:47, 4 February 2010 (UTC)

You can click quickly four times and use two tonics without clicking on an NPC too. Manifold User Manifold Jupiter.jpg 15:54, 4 February 2010 (UTC)
When you use a random tonic, like Mysterious, Zaishen, or to a lesser deggree Cottontail, you can get a weird effect when running to an NPC and use two of them in succession. As you're running, you'll turn into the first form and continue running without a stop. Once you stop, you will turn into the second form and that's the one that will remain for the full duration. User Rose Of Kali SIG.jpgRose Of Kali 19:53, 4 February 2010 (UTC)
Thanks for the report. This is a known issue that had previously been reported, but I will follow up on it to see if we can address it. --Andrew Patrick 20:00, 10 March 2010 (UTC)

Reported Jade Quarry Imbalance

In the Jade Quarry, whenever the Kurzick side captures the yellow shrine, the yellow shrine rangers will not attack their carrier unless first provoked by a player. The Luxon side does not have this feature, and it's players often stare and frown as the other team has one less threat to concern themselves with and gather oddles of freebie points. I also have some suspicion their portal is closer to the yellow shrine, but I have no objective proof of that. -- 70.41.92.45 12:42, 16 February 2010 (UTC)

They already know and will not do anything about it. Previously Unsigned 16:35, 16 February 2010 (UTC)
I dunno. I like to give them the benefit of the doubt, and just assume they're not omniscient. Are they even aware of the Bugs category? Perhaps not - and it's a better harvester than this portal. While Corporate Overlords are always chaotic evil, their minions aren't necessarily so. My occasional success here makes me cautiously optimistic. -- 67.54.135.201 15:54, 17 February 2010 (UTC)
It has been on the JQ page as a bug for a LONG time. They must have seen it by now, but they haven't fixed it. Previously Unsigned 16:04, 17 February 2010 (UTC)
This has indeed been reported. I will follow up to see what the status is but if I recall correctly, this was not as simple to fix as you might imagine. --Andrew Patrick 23:55, 3 March 2010 (UTC)

Reported Battledepths (non)Rez Shrines

There seems to be some glitch with the first rez shrine (Beacon of Droknar) in Battledepths coming from Eye of the North. Though I have gotten the bounty and activated the rez shrine, when I get a party wipe it comes up with the 'Return to Outpost' button. It could be because I had a quest active both times (last part of Northern Allies and Heart of the Shiverpeaks each time respectivly) but iirc that never used to happen even with the quest. LynxRavenRaide User:Lynx Raven Raide 21:15, 27 February 2010 (UTC)

Slight additional info: it is normal mode LynxRavenRaide User:Lynx Raven Raide 21:18, 27 February 2010 (UTC)
Thanks for the report. There is a bug in on this, but I went ahead and sent a follow up. --Andrew Patrick 23:53, 3 March 2010 (UTC)
Just a slight update, seems that this also applied to the other rez shrine too. Was doing Heart of the Shiverpeaks, got party wiped on the way to the portal to go down (after touching the Veraja Fells shrine to activate it) and again it came up with the 'Return to Outpost' button, so it seems none of the rez shrines on that map work. Reported Tiger/Yeti swap

In Jaya Bluffs, somehow a Yeti and Tiger got swapped. See screen shots below. --The preceding unsigned comment was added by User:LathanHaiko (talk).

Ages-old bug, they know about it, they won't be fixing it. Sometimes creatures get named like the local animals in the area, while retaining their skin and skills, so it's just a harmless rare naming bug. User Rose Of Kali SIG.jpgRose Of Kali 13:18, 28 February 2010 (UTC)

This is a known issue that is generally associated with a corrupted DAT file. If you rename your Gw.Dat file gw2.dat (No, that will not magically turn your client into the GW2 one...) and then run the program with the -image argument overnight, you will have a fresh new DAT file, and that should resolve this issue. Hope that helps! --Andrew Patrick 20:42, 10 March 2010 (UTC)
Tried this and had to rename Gw.tmp to Gw.dat to get it to start the -image run. Previous to doing this it was reporting that it could not access the file. --Skekzyz 15:29, 7 March 2011 (UTC)
