Welcome to the Descendants of Shadows Guild Wiki page. We are a small, friendly PVE guild. The central unifying principle of DUSK is to help complete in-game goals and to offer social activities for all members, both experienced and new.We pride ourselves as a guild that offers assistance and opportunities for players of all experience levels. Above all, we strive to show a friendly and inclusive atmosphere to everyone.
Recruitment
The only rules for eligibility are that you are an active and mature person. We do not require that all our members own specific campaigns or anything unlocked(HA, HM, etc).
Guild Charter
Regularly scheduled “official” help nights—At least two hours during two nights a week will be scheduled as help nights when you are guaranteed assistance with anything you need. On those two nights, someone in the guild will be available to help you with any quest at any level of the game. Help will be available most other times, but we promise you those nights will be dedicated to the members.
Free speech—We have no serious limitations on guild chat or the message board. Alliance chat is to be kept at PG level.
Friendly atmosphere—We want a guild where people feel comfortable, socialize, and have fun. We ask that guild members be respectful of other members at all times. Badgering or belittling other players is not tolerated. Being helpful to your guild mates and active in guild chat and on the forums is strongly encouraged!
Active participation in Alliance events—Our parent guild, Priests of Eris, maintains a forum where events and activities are posted across the alliance. Checking their website is not required, but encouraged. Many opportunities are available for interaction.
Player-organized events—Want to work on some areas for your Vanquishing title track? Want to farm some Kurzick faction through Alliance Battles? Want to run naked across Tyria? If you can think it, you can plan it. If you come up with an idea for an event that you want to try, you can post it on our message board and see what kind of response you get. Any member may formulate and post ideas about activities to hold for the guild. Events can also be made alliance-wide, if they are large enough in scope.
Activity and frequency of game play—We want to be a guild of active players working towards common goals. However, real life takes precedence. This is only a game. There are no attendance rules for how often you sign on, but we do pay attention to when you were last online. The forum is an excellent place to make us aware if you are going to be taking an extended leave of absence. We encourage players to sign on once a week or so. Unexplained absences of a month or greater will jeopardize your guild membership.
DUSK does not require that you own more than one campaign or have beaten any of the games. We do not force you to participate in events, make you get involved, or otherwise demand you be social. We do hope, however, that being a part of DUSK helps you to progress in your goals for your character and for the guild. We are a fun guild hoping to enjoy all that Guild Wars has to offer, both game play and people. Guild Wars is only as good as you make it. DUSK hopes to make it an amazing gaming experience.
