Last Of Pride was created on October 8th 2009. Most of the members came from our old guild Drugs Is Not Mkay [MkaY] and some are new. The whole point with the guild was to create an atmosphere where we didnt have to be competetive and also to be able to play any bars or teambuilds we felt like, but still be organized. We have played mostly AB, TA and a bit of GvG aswell.

If you ever encounter our team it's likely to be a very old school inspired teambuild and among our favorites is the Dual Gale Warrior, Blackout Cripshot, Boon Prot setup (very inspired by War Machine [WM]) We feel that as the game has progressed and with each campaign, the game has become less and less enjoyable. This is particulary because of power creep and extremly powerful skills introduced in new chapters but also new concepts introduced to the game such as PvE skills, consumables, heroes and generally things that has moved the game away from being pug friendly to more elitist.

The name Last Of Pride is a flirt with korean warrior Last Of Master and his guild The Last Pride [EvIL], the number one top guild for a long time in the most competetive era of Guild Wars. [EvIL] and korean guilds in general were famous for being very stubborn and valuing 'honor' highly. They knew they could beat any team and never changed their builds to take advantage or specific opponents, even in the championships.

The tag [GWFC] stands for the Guild Wars Factions Championship and is the last Guild Wars championship to this date, and the last time [EvIL] played together. After winning the Guild Wars World Championship in Taipei and qualifying to the GWFC in the preceeding Seasonal Playoffs, [EvIL] was the number 2 seed and therefor didn't play the first round of the tournament (the number 1 seed was War Machine). In their first game (semifinals) The Last Pride was facing american team Idiot Savants [iQ] which had won the wild card in a 72-hour ladder race. The game vs. [iQ] has been considered legendary by many and proves a major turn point in the Guild Wars PvP history.

After being outplayed for most of the game (on Isle of the Dead), [iQ] goes into a turtle position, waiting for the end game 'Victory or Death'. Despite [EvIL] having full morale and all NPCs left while iQ only has protected it's guild lord area, the Idiot Savants manages to push out at VoD and pulls out a trick that surprised most observes. Their elementalist managed to hit all of [EvIL]'s NPC with a Glyph of Sacrifice and Meteor Shower. After having wiped all of The Last Prides NPCs, iQ puts all it's rescources on the [EvIL] guild lord and manages to beat him down with all of EvIL players still alive. This move came to be common knowledge and with the end of the championships, and the introduction of AT games, it became the standard to play for VoD. Since then the meta has gone from split builds to defensive spike builds, all abusing the power of VoD and which ultimately got it removed from play. Never since has the style of heavy shutdown and damage builds, that characterised the GWWC and much of the GWFC, been popular, or even viable. Hence the name Last Of Pride [GWFC].

Activities

Besides just the oldschool PvP and PvE there are 2 main activities we organise.Call them events,call them anything.

PvP : GWWC-GWFC Scrimmages,basically gvg scrims with normal gvg rules but only oldschool skills and equipment is allowed.

PvE :

• "Profecies" mode. Basically Prophecies with certain restrictions.Trying to get back to what prophecies used to be.
• "Factions" mode. Partly because we have mastered prophecies, and partly to pay tribute to the Guild Wars Factions Championship, it is "Profecies" mode with factions added to it.
  
  

PvX : Farming low lvl kamadan for "the holy grail" (a Q6 inscr air focus).PvX since the air focus only has pvp purposes.

• The guild was formerly led by User:Yeen (Last of Prodigy). He can still be contacted on the wiki page, but stopped playing the game. The leaders are Leka(Leka Z), Attila (Joan Baed), and Boro (Olara Csilag).
