The guild was founded in 1999 in a game called Magestorm, but since then it has developed into a multi-game guild with members from all over the world.
The social aspect of gaming is very important to the Sorcerers of Light and Darkness. There are regular offline meetings and the message boards are the center of communication among all members, even if they do not play any game at the moment.
In Guild Wars SoLD focuses on PvE, but they always aim at setting up a PVP team as well. The main purpose is having fun together.
SoLD joined the alliance of Strike Force, a befriended guild since Magestorm times, which generously provides a channel on their Ventrilo server for the Sorcerers to use.
Recruitment
Membership in SoLD goes way beyond membership in the Guild Wars team, but the guild is open for everyone if him/her really wants to become part of the community. There are no particular requirements, yet a certain amount of activity ingame and at the boards is expected.
