Almost 2 years ago, PaL started out as five or six loyal friends who played together almost every day. Eventually we gained in numbers, and as new people came, old friends left. Once we started playing Pre-Searing a hell of a lot, the people who wanted to join us were of course people we gamed with in Pre-Searing, and purely by chance we became one of the most well known pre-based guilds in Pre-Searing...

The first thing to note about PaL is that we are not a huge Guild or have a huge Alliance, we are more a group of loyal friends who like to play together and connect on a personal level, all members contribute to discussions and ones who dont contribute generally dont last long. While some members come and go, we have a core group of about 15ish active people who play almost every day just like PaL members have done in the past. PaL has gone through some bad patches in the past, with the leader getting banned for confusion over exploited items that he bought and had no achknoledgement that the items were exploited. Sometime after this while he was still banned, PaL lost alot of members and friends and almost went down the pan, but James was determined to keep the guild on its feet. Once James (The Leader) was un-banned and was cleared of all accusations, he focused on getting PaL back up and running. We now have a healthy group of loyal Officers and Members and a great Alliance. As you can see PaL now has a brand new website and forums, with great more things in store for the future with GuildWars2 around the corner, PaLs future is looking very promising.

the first thing to note before you even think about joining is that we are not a huge alliance and cannot guarantee hoardes of ppl online to help you whenever you want. we are more a group of loyal friends who like to play together and connect on a personal level, all members contribute to discussions and ones who dont contribute generally dont last long. while some members come and go, we have a core group of about 15ish active people who play allmost every day.

allmost 2 years ago, PaL started out as 5 or 6 loyal friends who played together allmost daily. eventually we gained in numbers, and as new people came, old friends left. once i started playing pre a hell of a lot, the people who wanted to join me were of course people i played with in pre, and purely by chance we became one of the most well known pre based guilds.

however, we have never been 100% pre based and focus a lot on post as well, mainly pve but also a lot of AB in the mix.

recently, as you may know, i was banned for a month after being traded dirty ectos, duped by some scumbag of course. in the month i was banned, the guild went downhill with no leadership, as there was little control over the guild. not to mention ricky the alliance leader was also banned for the same thing. we were trapped in an alliance with the sC guild, who had low standards and were mainly full of adolescent teens who loved to abuse the alliance channel. we lost many loyal members because of this abuse :'( but now we have regained our numbers and things are looking good!

We are now in an alliance with Keepers of Obscure Knowledge [Kook], a like minded guild which can be described as a small but cosy gathering of friends much like PaL

Rules + Regulations these are the non-negotiable rules that set the foundations of what makes PaL a fun place to be.

We are a Mature alliance. as such there is an alliance wide age limit of 18. this does not affect the few existing members who are 16-18, who are not only proven mature and respectable, but who are personal friends of the alliance. Be Mature (when possible, silly moments dont apply) No Spamming in the Alliance chat of any kind. No Begging for freebies, Runs, Powerleveling, etc. No Racial, Ethnic, Religous abuse of any sort. this includes racial slurs, especially including the word "Nigger" which is expressly prohibited no matter how common and acceptable you think it is No Emo Rants. No uncalled for swearing, in general or at other members within the Alliance. small amounts of cursing is fine, but please exercise good judgement, and refrain from being vulgar No Scamming of any kind, towards members of the Alliance or the Guild Wars community. we exercise an inactivity policy of 2 weeks if you are inactive for 2 weeks or longer, you will be kicked from the alliance. this helps us stay 'fresh' and active. you will be allowed to rejoin when you come back. you can personally increase this time up to 2 months if you tell us in advance that you are going to be away, for example holiday or moving house = no internet etc.

We currently have around 35-40 members in the guild, all of whom are valued members.

we accept members from all over the world, and only ask that you speak fluent english. we have members from england, australia, america, and many other countries, which helps us to have greater coverage throughout 24/7.

do not join unless you are willing to show respect, be loyal, and stand by us in good times and bad. and most of all spread love in the community. we are not a place for hate spreading.

WHY JOIN? well i can guarantee that in PaL you will be given a chance to shine if you so desire. stick around for a while, be helpful and active, and you stand a great chance of becoming an officer. You WILL have a say in what happens in the guild, i frequently consult officers and members for advice and opinions when making guild decisions.

also one thing in PaL that you would not get in many other guilds is the chance to develop friendships on a personal level, as allthough we dont have hundreds of members, the ones that we do have are very active, most of us play every day. we have high standards in who we recruit and this reflects in the quality of the members we have.
