Candidate statement

Well, I'm not really sure what to put here, to be honest. I guess that I'd like to thank Tanaric for the honour of this nomination. Even if I don't get accepted, it's really cool. Thanks.

As far as Sysophood goes, I spend most of my on-wiki time doing behind the scenes stuff. I don't do very much by way of editing actual articles, but I really like to try and make sure that the wiki is running smoothly for the other users here. Because of this, I do a lot of hitting f5 while watching the RC listing and reverting vandalism. I also still run Herbert (the touchbot - because I hate the name "touchbot") on a (usually) nightly basis to refresh the categories on all Guild Cleanup and Candidates for deletion articles. WTB DPL =P I'm also working on a fun little bit of JavaScript (but I'm not very good at it yet =P) to help fight vandalism.

Basically? Being a sysop would just allow me to do an even better job taking care of that sort of thing. The administrator tools, like deletion, blocking, protecting, and rollback (yay, rollback!) are pretty much just a better mop to help me work towards keeping this place running smoothly.

I guess my final thoughts are pretty simple. Even if you don't think that I'm a good person for the position (though I wouldn't have accepted the nomination if I didn't think I could handle it), I'd like to ask everyone to make sure that we have a decently-sized pool of sysops. Sysophood is basically No Big Deal on this wiki, so the more people we can have doing the cleanup tasks that keep this place running, the better (IMO).

That being said, I'd love to serve in this capacity ;)
