Hey, even though ive asked 30 questions... I have prophesies right now, i was thinking to buy the GW Trilogy, that comes with prophesies, nightfall, and factions. Yes, it will work. You can upgrade your Prophecies account with Trilogy access key (cheaper than buying Factions + Nightfall).

You will end up with an account with all three campaigns and 8 character slots to use. The "extra copy" of Prophecies will be "wasted" (you won't get extra character slots for adding another access key from the same campaign), but that should not be a big problem. --NIN37 15:03, 19 November 2008 (UTC)

Code 45

I tried to sign in today, and low and behold, a 55 hour code 045 came up for swearing. I have no recollection of swearing, recieved no warnings, and now have one strike against my account. It won't work. NCsoft support is easily the most incapable and incompetent support I've seen for any game, ever. They ban people wrongly all the time (a friend of mine got banned for me swearing in AB, even though he didn't say a word) and when you call them on it, they never fess up - they cite some bullshit clause that says they don't have to provide proof, because of course, they don't have any in the first place. It's a catch-22 of lofty ineptitude, and they try to delay you until your ban expires then act like it was no big deal and try to dismiss it as quickly and painlessly as possible.

Character Slots

There is no cost to creating a new character in an empty character slot. If, on the other hand, you run out of empty character slots, you may go to the in-game store and buy more. ¬ Wizårdbõÿ777(talk) 05:37, 2 December 2008 (UTC)

Or you can delete old characters to get their slots free again. But as long as you have the slots, you can always use them the way you like without extra cost. GW is free after all. poke | talk 08:23, 2 December 2008 (UTC)

Character Slots?

If you add it to your Prophecies account, you'll have 8. If you make a new account, you'll have your old Prophecies one with 4, and your new one (all empty without access to your old characters) with 8. Biscuits 09:57, 4 December 2008 (UTC)

Trial Key

I would just like to ask how you would get a trial key with out buying the game. Not for anything but WoW has where you can download and start a 10 day trial right away and see if you like it before you buy it.

I downloaded the game but i don't have any friends that have a trial key on them. So I am stuck buying the game, and losing the $$ if I don't like the game.

If you want to entice people to join and make $$ then make it easy for them to play a few levels and see if they like it. Don't make it where you can't obtain an access key. --The preceding unsigned comment was added by User:71.57.233.14 (talk).

Is there a way to obtain a 14 day trial access code with out purchasing the game or wasting time on forums asking people if they have one? To me that's a huge FAIL.

WoW allows you to download the game and play for 10 days before buying it. I just don't think running to a store to get the game is worth it. Once it is opened I can't return it, so I loose my $$ to begin with.

You would get more people to buy the game if you let them try it out.

I have seen many places where they sell a key to try it out for a few days. I mean yes it's like $2-$4 but it's a 14 day trial and it get's you access to it to try it out. They need to charge a fee to try unlike WoW because they don't charge monthly fees so they have to get money from game releases. Free trail keys were discontinued becuase it made closing accounts of goldsellers and their ilk ineffective. Still, you should not have to pay more than $2. Backsword 10:04, 8 December 2008 (UTC)

So "you would get more people to buy the game if you let them try it out" really doesn't apply to us, as we can't do anything about it one way or the other... when i try and log in it say "Your Guild wars account had been blocked for an account issue. Good Place to Buy GW CD Key?

I have a friend in Kosovo and he wants to buy Guild Wars but he wants to buy the CD key only, he doesn't want to wait for a CD or package to arrive in the mail. Because the NC Soft website is selling the CD keys at rrp and everywhere else is much cheaper. i have 2 gw accounts my second which i got for christmas is under <e-mail address removed>. the problem is that this is the trilogy and the access key must be showing a temperary account i payed 50 dollards for the games it is showint a char. that i have never had the 1 that should be there is sweet bebette can i have this back i want to play other chars. that is why i bought it. than u for yr help.
