The note about not working with elemental damage is untrue. While using an Icy bow and Conjre Frost i can still spread poison. Removing Note. --ChronicinabilitY User Chronicinability Spiteful Spirit.jpg 13:35, 6 July 2007 (UTC)

waste[edit]

of a skill slot BADATGW 19:38, 3 June 2008 (UTC)

Then you don't know the true potential of this skill. You really want to waste an Elite slot on something like Poison Arrow when you can get something like Burning Arrow combined with this? Bisurge 05:47, 20 June 2008 (UTC)
You obviously haven't played guildwars much, have you? The preceding unsigned comment was added by Loser223 (talk • contribs) at 06:20, 4 July 2008 (UTC).

Apply Poison[edit]

moved from ArenaNet talk:Portal

Apply poison have wrong description or wrong behavior it is for all phisical damage u done but it work even if you do elemental or other damage --The preceding unsigned comment was added by User:77.48.108.3 (talk).

Physical attacks and physical damage aren't the same thing. "physical attacks" means "any attacks with martial weapons, regardless of damage type". -- Gordon Ecker 00:29, 11 June 2008 (UTC)
Look at the page history of Apply Poison, Gordon, and you'll understand the anon's comment. Go to Aiiane's Talk page (Aiiane - talk - contribs) 01:19, 11 June 2008 (UTC)
I've created a physical attack article, linked to it from the Apply Poison article and added a disambig link to the physical damage article. -- Gordon Ecker 02:53, 11 June 2008 (UTC)
Sorry, but shouldn't this discussion be somewhere else? Maybe in the Apply Poison talk page? (Satanael 04:53, 11 June 2008 (UTC))

Best Preparation?[edit]

Who agrees? Bisurge 23:55, 4 July 2008 (UTC)

Most over used, not best. Just because 99% of all ranger builds run it (due to build posting sites) doesn't mean much more then rangers are 99% stupid. Seeking arrows is far better simply due to the amount of blocking in GW atm, but you'll never learn this right? Keep using apply poison while I keep waiting for Anet to stop favoring rangers. 69.247.22.37 00:20, 20 July 2008 (UTC)
Lol, not the best preparation? Blocking isn't a huge problem with Rangers, as the 2 best skills (Crippling Shot and Magebane Shot) are already unblockable. And monks prot targets under heavy fire, not the ranger's target. Target-switching will negate blocking. And every other anti-melee will end the preparation, as well as dodging it. Apply Poison is great because it's a cover condition every time you hit. It's 4 degen. It's easily spreadable. If you spread it, it's a good amount of pressure. It lasts long, so it's good for ganking if you can't stay there. To summarize it: it's an awesome, versatile skill. --Sir Bertrand 15:11, 7 August 2008 (UTC)

I would like to point out that this is not the best preparation, but it is one of the best. Read the Wind has so much more use than degen in PvE play, where as this in PvP is obviously the better. Read the Wind used to have a +damage thing that made it incredibly useful, but now it doesn't and this is again the PvP prep for most good builds.72.161.115.13 17:01, 10 March 2009 (UTC)
PVE version of Read the Wind still has extra damae. And who cares about PVP anyway? Ramei Arashi 03:17, 4 October 2009 (UTC)
I believe you mean 'who cares about PvE?' Not A-Net. -~=Sparky User Sparky, the Tainted charr sig.PNG (talk) 03:22, 4 October 2009 (UTC)
No I meant PvP, PvE is the core of the game. The only thing a PVP only character is good for is extra storage space. Ramei Arashi 02:15, 15 October 2009 (UTC)
Don't be terrible like that. PvE is the reason PvP gained power creepan for what the lousy PvE'ers wanted (there could be another reason...*cough* Anet). PvE back then: a preparation for PvP, which was/should still be the core of the game. PvE now: a grindfest. Haru 21:02, 25 October 2009 (UTC)
