Does Blades of Steel count itself? - User HeWhoIsPale sig.PNG HeWhoIsPale 12:59, 29 August 2007 (UTC)

Yes. --New.Dorling 11:48, 14 September 2007 (UTC)

Why does it always attack twice?

Because it is a dual attack. Genji 19:10, 19 January 2008 (UTC)
Yep, so if you do 17 base damage, both attacks, with 5 skills recharging at 10 dagger mastery - then thats 17+60+17+60=154, in a split second. But then of course, to find the real damage you have to calculate the armour and bonuses like weapon mods.. K00bes 15:06, 28 March 2008 (UTC)

the skill image looks liek the guy is constipated :D--Blahishness 16:25, 30 January 2009 (UTC)

Best attack animation ever[edit]

This skill has such an awesome animation, especially when it does the final hit on the enemy. You need to fight really tough enemies to fight an enemy that survives this so you can follow with Moebius Strike, though. Unprotected level 20 enemies tend ot die before the Moebius attack can hit them. =) - Elder Angelus 14:05, 13 May 2008 (UTC)

try way of the empty palm and just spam this on someone, funny how he kisses ur feet:p Close Impact 16:48, 26 May 2008 (UTC)

LOL[edit]

love this skill, even at 11 dagger mastery, with the right attack chain, this skill can be lethal--Arrythmia User Arrythmia arrythmia.sig.JPG 21:00, 8 July 2008 (UTC)

Yeah, the other day in TA this one sin used this to pretty much maul my entire group one by one. Nothing gimmicky, just straight-up asskicking. I was genuinely impressed. Krelus Derian 18:27, 8 August 2008 (UTC)

Duke Nukem[edit]

I've got blades of steel. 24.182.202.133 01:09, 9 October 2008 (UTC)

Yea...I really want to see the icon up close. from small view it looks like a guy bending his head back yelling with a line of drool coming out.--70.121.145.76 03:35, 8 November 2008 (UTC)
blades of steel is a spike attack, not a nuke attack. nuking does massive amounts of damage to a collection of enemies, spike does even greater amounts of damage to one opponent quickly.
I think you misinterpreted the Duke Nukem reference, he's kinda like John McClane if you've ever seen Die Hard, but with more swearing and cheesy cardboard foes. --Alex User AlexEternal Mr Bear.jpgEternal 20:53, 12 May 2009 (UTC)
The only reason Chuck Norris is the most powerful man on Earth is because Duke Nukem left to go kick ass in space. ~ A R A ~ 12:39, 15 September 2009 (UTC)
Betting its the reference intended for the skill, too. (Bladecutter 17:38, 3 December 2009 (UTC))

Bugged?[edit]

I believe this skill is bugged. I've been using the four skills: Leaping Mantis Sting, Fox Fangs, Wild Blow and Blades of Steel in conjunction and it seems I'm getting all of the bonus damage from it despite BoS's description. I can't say my test is thoroughly accurate but if it is possible can someone else check? My user page .:Tyla:. 02:25, 23 November 2008 (UTC)

It depends on what your Dagger Mastery is. If you have 13 or more, then you get 15+ damage from each of your skills. So that's 45 for the recharging skills to get to Blades on your chain, and 15 because Blades counts itself. PowerGamer 00:23, 6 December 2008 (UTC)
You've completely missed the point. Contrary to the description of Blades of Steel I've been finding I'm hitting the full +60 bonus damage - Wild Blow (which has no relation to Dagger Mastery or an Assassins' skills in general) is counting towards that limit. My user page .:Tyla:. 13:21, 13 December 2008 (UTC)
Sorry I didn't pick up on that. I'll get right on to testing that then. PowerGamer 06:08, 14 December 2008 (UTC)
You're absolutely right. I tested it, Melee Attacks contribute to the damage bonus. PowerGamer 06:16, 14 December 2008 (UTC)

WHY are you calling this a bug?[edit]

A Melee attack (test the dervish ones too) should most certainly count. It isn't necessarily a dagger-specific attack but it is stll an attack made with daggers (if you're holding daggers and you trigger it, is it not considered an attack?) So.. it's up to an interpretation of the description, like so many other skills in this game. I won't do it, but i suggest that someone might consider removing the *bug* tag.

It doesn't consider if the recharging melee attacks were made with daggers or not. I could Bull's Strike you with a scythe/sword/hammer/axe/whatever, then swap to my daggers and do something like Falling Lotus Strike->Blades of Steel and it will count all three recharging attacks as "dagger attacks" for the purposes of BoS bonus damage. So even under your interpretation, it's still a bug. Mr J 10:41, 9 October 2009 (UTC)
Well apprentely this bug is fixed , should I remove the bug note? --93.173.130.132 20:14, 11 April 2010 (UTC)
Just because I didn't see any response to the above note, I tested this again, and the bug still remains. (non-dagger melee attacks are making it do more dmg) -Chieftain Alex 21:07, 2 March 2013 (UTC)
