Anyone have information on the minimum amount of time it takes to cancel a skill? e.g. start of skill, the time, cancel. Is it related to the ping? 113.210.231.201 08:32, 24 March 2012 (UTC)

Cancel, fail and interrupt[edit]

So, is canceling a skill equal to interrupting yourself or causing your current skill to fail or is it another thing ? --The preceding unsigned comment was added by 86.217.116.8 (talk) at 14:49, 28 August 2015‎ (UTC).

I doubt it's the same as interrupting oneself, since it would then trigger Mantra of Resolve and similar skills that prevent interrupts. --Silver Edge 02:28, 29 August 2015 (UTC)
  • Interrupting a skill counts as activated, paid for, and actively stopped mid-cast by external cause.
  • Failing a skill counts as activated, paid for, and automatically stopped either at the start of the cast, or at the end of it.
  • Cancelling a skill counts as activated, paid for, and actively stopped mid-cast by internal cause.
Three different ways to affect a skill when activated. - Infinite - talk 15:03, 2 September 2015 (UTC)
Okay, Mantra of Resolve is a good reason to me. And cancel is different from fail for the mid-cast stop. Also, I think you need to wait for recharge if a skill got interrupted, whereas not if it fails or is cancelled. --Ruine User Ruine Eternelle Ruine Eternelle.jpg Eternelle 15:53, 2 September 2015 (UTC)
