Stats[edit]

quick question i would like to know, is it possible to spawn this weapon and the other 2 in pre?

Yes, you can spawn any of the Eye of the North bonus weapons, Factions bonus weapons, Nightfall bonus weapons, Game of The Year special bonus weapons, or original Prophecies pre-order weapons in Pre-Searing, just the same as you can in post searing or any other chapter of the game. This is very handy and done often by people, especially those like myself with several permanent pre-searing characters. Actually the Female Ranger screen-shots in this article were taken in Pre-Searing of one of my characters. ~ J.Kougar UserJKougar sig.gif 18:23, 2 August 2007 (UTC)

Anyone know where the stats that 192.234.2.80 added are comming from? In particular the "Special Note: This item CAN be upgraded with a Bow Grip" doesn't jive with the Nevermore Flatbow - Tanetris 16:49, 17 July 2007 (UTC)

Those stats were mentioned in some unofficial sources, like EB Games (in the list of features the Prerelease Package will come with) and other such stores. So far we don't have official confirmation...I thought about removing those, but meh, given the note about how it's a feature still in development, I didn't feel like removing 192.234.2.80's addition. Alright, thanks. I don't put much stock in retailer's pages, but with the warning, I suppose it's good enough to warrant mention.
Fairly unrelatedly, I'm wondering which winners these are. It's pretty obvious which is the glacial blade ([1] I assume), but the only bow ([2]), while utterly cool, doesn't look like "darksteel" to me, and none of the staffs seem to have anything to do with hourglasses.. - Tanetris 17:19, 17 July 2007 (UTC)
Heh, take a look here, a post Gaile made on GWO (Gaile, please don't shoot me for mentioning that : D). I have the feeling that maybe some of the entries we will see in the game came not only from the winners and the honorable mentions, but also from a few of the finalists (although this is nothing but a guess). Erasculio 17:29, 17 July 2007 (UTC)
I am sure I saw it written down somewhere but right now I can't remember where... --Lemming64 17:33, 17 July 2007 (UTC)

It says the skin is from one of the WINNERS of the design a weapon contest. I checked and I see only one bow in the WINNERS section. Does that means we arleady know what this weapon will look like? Darksteel isn't a word I would use to describe that bow imho. 58.110.138.50

I have sneaking suspiciouns that it might be this bow.

It's by the same artist as the sword, and whilst it didnt get listed as an honourable mention, it was still an entry, and looks MUCH more like a "Darksteel" longbow to me. Also having non-finalist contest weapons appear in the game is not unprecedented.

What is the req for this bow?Vhalantru 20:57, 22 July 2007 (UTC)

9 in Marksmanship. ~ J.Kougar

Images[edit]

I added the two missing images for the page and then put in one for Dye that I made as well. Hope they are okay with everyone and if not let me know and I can make any needed changes to them.  :) ~ J.Kougar

They look great to me, thank you! Erasculio 14:57, 21 July 2007 (UTC)

Storage[edit]

I unlocked the three bonus weapons on my ele char to get hourglass staff and want to transfer the longbow to my ranger but it won't go into storage. is there any way around this? --The Thunderbolt Guy 15:46, 9 August 2007 (UTC)

Use the same command you use to get them on your elementalist, but on your ranger. You may spawn those items with any character you have (and you may also spawn more than one copy, as long as you equip the item - be in your character or any hero - before using the /bonus command again. Even if you destroy one of those items, you may spawn it again. Erasculio 15:49, 9 August 2007 (UTC)

Margrid The Sly[edit]

Matches this bow perfectly, in both her standard armor and Ancient armor. It's like they were made for eachother :P --Srakin 05:41, 13 March 2008 (UTC)

Storage[edit]

This and the other EotN weapons say on their page that they cannot be put into storage. This is false. They may not be able to be directly put in storage, but can be inderectly put in by equipping the weapon to one of your heroes and then equipping a weapon from your storage box onto that hero. There should be some mention of this method on the page. Hope it helps. Not logged in... <>Sparky, the Tainted96.8.185.183 18:38, 28 February 2009 (UTC)

Go ahead and add it. --Arduinna talk 19:18, 28 February 2009 (UTC)

while we're at it, doesn't that rant belong to the trivia section? —ZerphatalkThe Improver 02:20, 16 February 2010 (UTC)
"Pyre's dad?"
That's my guess too. Considering how important he was to the story, etc. it's probably him. Karate User Karate Jesus KJ for sig.png Jesus 02:35, 16 February 2010 (UTC)
Which is ironic, as we killed him before this bow existed (and he was a major noob). -~=Ϛρѧякγ User Sparky, the Tainted charr sig.PNG (τѧιк) 02:20, 18 April 2010 (UTC)
How was he a major noob, if he was instrumental to the Searing? He died because didn't have his bow with him that day, but he still pwned our asses from the grave. User Rose Of Kali SIG.jpgRose Of Kali 12:22, 18 April 2010 (UTC)

Dye chart[edit]

I was uploading the dye chart. It's my first contribution, so I think I made a mistake in the name, but someone corrected it. Thanks. Now I'm trying to learn how to add it here :) Edit: oh, it's done. Great :) Linu 08:16, 8 September 2011 (UTC)

Easiest way to upload under the right name is to put {{dye chart}} on the page, and then click on the red link it creates when you press Show Preview. The tags for dye charts are usually {{screenshot}} + Category:Weapon dye charts. --File:User Chieftain Alex Chieftain Signature.pngChieftain Alex 08:29, 8 September 2011 (UTC)
Oh, thanks! i didn't know that, but now I do :D Linu 08:40, 8 September 2011 (UTC)
It's me again. I've noticed some mistakes in the dye chart and I uploaded a new version. I'm giving more problems than help, sorry! Linu 09:23, 8 September 2011 (UTC)
Spelt gray wrong + ideally order is: default, yellow, orange, red, green, blue, purple, brown, silver, white, black and gray. Its not worth uploading another but if you do any future charts do them in that order :) --File:User Chieftain Alex Chieftain Signature.pngChieftain Alex 09:37, 8 September 2011 (UTC)
Yes, I've seen, but I had already uploaded a new one after reading the Dye chart guidelines you linked me. Sorry again!!! Linu 09:44, 8 September 2011 (UTC)
Hah, i hadn't purged cache - well done. :) --File:User Chieftain Alex Chieftain Signature.pngChieftain Alex 09:47, 8 September 2011 (UTC)
