Talk:Divert Hexes
Overpowered[edit]
Am I the only one who thinks this skill is overpowered? Remove up to 3 hexes/conditions AND heal for over 150hp in the best case scenario.--Fallen 03:34, 22 October 2007 (UTC)
- It's all about opportunity cost. Other monk elites like LoD, ZB, and SoR are very general purpose, allowing the monk to use them regardless of what strategy your opponent uses against them. However, taking this elite requires you to face sufficient hexes to make it worth the cost of leaving other possibilities out. Should you run up against a group that uses few or no hexes, the monk's elite is practically useless. However, if going into a PvE zone where you know you will face numerous hexes, it might be worth taking. --Thervold 05:25, 22 October 2007 (UTC)
- Yeah, maybe it's a little overpowered, but you know what? Monk really needs it. There are single condition removals and single hex removals, but in the end, in pvp, who doesn't carry a cover hex? Since the fastest recharge on a non-elite hex removal is 8, we're talking 8 seconds to *maybe* remove the elite hex placed on a player. If that player is you with migraine and coverhex, you're in big trouble. Without this elite, the only way to get around this is to preveil, which costs precious energy to sustain. Once it's gone, you've likely gotten several more hexes on top of you before you can recast. This is the counter to heavy hexes. Obviously as Thervold said, it's a bit specialized and could go to waste for more valuable elites you could have had under the wrong circumstances. Just depends on how you wish to play. In PvP, this skill is invaluable for breaking hex chains on yourself and your allies. Best Protection Prayers elite out there with the exception of perhaps Restore Condition. --Eyekwah 11:06, 11 June 2008 (UTC)
- People who dare to think that the fastest recharging hex spot removal has a recharge of 8 fail. It's 12. Noctarch 23:04, 28 August 2008 (UTC)
Related to Withdraw Hexes[edit]
Why is this skill not related to Withdraw Hexes, whilst, Withdraw Hexes links to this page? :P 72.141.203.119 07:00, 16 June 2008 (UTC)
Prediction[edit]
Epic comeback in 8v8 due to OP VoR hexway. Man, did they mess the VoR thingy. --82.83.53.156 12:03, 5 December 2008 (UTC)
<3[edit]
Elite Spell. Remove up to 1...3...3 Hexes from target ally. For each Hex removed in this way, that ally gains 10...58...70

condition[edit]
I know they have to have the hex removed but do they need a condition removed too for the heal?
Cast Time[edit]
Cast Time need to be lowered to 1/4, now that anet lowered monk and feel happy of the way that pvp turn, there're too much spike and every anti-spike skill has been lowered. We need to create some new monk to counter it and this skill would be a nice choice. --The preceding unsigned comment was added by 94.111.32.117 (talk).

5e, 1/4cast, 10recharge: Elite Enchantment 10 seconds. Remove one hex, or divert the next hex, from target ally to the nearest foe. Justice 06:35, 28 January 2010 (UTC)
Id like that ~ tyseyh
- i'd suggest 5e, 3/4 cast, 5recharge. heals for 20..80 and removes up to 1..3 hexes. heals for 0..30 more for each hex removed. --83.76.237.87 04:16, 8 July 2010 (UTC)
- I agree, this skill should be 5 Energy. Remove the condition removal, afterall this is prot prayers with plenty of cond removes. personally i think it should stay on 1 second.--137.248.59.99 13:54, 20 March 2012 (UTC)
Jellyfish![edit]
I find this skill art aesthetically pleasing. -- ᴥ GreyGhost (talk!) ᴥ 15:56, 2 March 2010 (UTC)

Soul Reaping[edit]
...pretty much completely nullifies the cost of this thing if you have a MM on your team. Triple Necro MM, prot and heal with spammable but expensive spells like this, Shield Guardian, Glimmer of Light, Heal Other, etc = gg. In PvE anyway. Yeah, yeah, yeah, PvE is easy, Discord team, blah blah blah...--Ph03n1x 03:36, 25 November 2010 (UTC)
