I don't get it, am I missing something?[edit]
Each item gives 50 points for their titles and you can get 5 of these. So why does the wiki say it only puts 83.3 points towards your title?
- Because you have a 1/3 chance of getting any one of them and 250/3 equals 83.3 -Manassas 22:03, 28 June 2012 (UTC)
- That doesn't make sense. You're progression is 250 points, not 83.3. You just don't know which one you'll be progressing in. Ramei Arashi 22:11, 28 June 2012 (UTC)
- Right, which means for each bag you open, you will move up 83.3 points per title. in other words, if you open 100, you should expect to move up 8330 points in each title

(Reset indent) Each account only has access to one bag, so it makes sense to focus on actual progression — very few people are going to open up 100s of these (like they would for ToTs or WGifts). Also, while I'm sure that the drop rates will be 1/3 chance each, we haven't yet collected in data, so it's speculative say that 83.3 points is the average. (Wouldn't be the first time ANet has introduced a bug with a new item.)
I've updated the article to focus on what we do know: each bag offers 5 of the same 50-point items and therefore 250 points towards one consumable title. – Tennessee Ernie Ford (TEF) 22:34, 28 June 2012 (UTC)
- I did open 16 of them and received Battle Isle Iced Tea 3 times, Delicious Cake 8 times and Party Beacon 5 times. Sardaukar 21:57, 5 July 2014 (UTC)
Tradable?[edit]
Based on the Imperial Mask Token page, tokens cannot be traded, but can these bags be traded? --Silver Edge 22:46, 28 June 2012 (UTC)
- Yes, you can trade the bags before opening them. --Tamye 23:23, 28 June 2012 (UTC)

- ArenaNet is worried that Dragon Festival Grab Bags will cause suffocation if worn over the head. --Silver Edge 21:22, 29 June 2012 (UTC)
- They have a trend of trying to phase out creating new content (as seen in this years b-day minis), and letting people get titles more easily. This also gives no incentive for veterans to peruse the quests. When they were unique hats you can only get that time of the year, it wasn't a big deal, but it was something you could get no other way, at no other time. Not saying it was a big deal, but big enough to have some number of veterans coming back. I suppose if they don't come back, anet can stop hosting the game sooner in good conscious. That will be a sad day when all my characters are deleted. Not because I play much any more, but because of all I did play once upon a time. But you can see the trend of expiration with what they've done with mini's this year. This did seem like a good thing to do, but next year, not this year. With it being so close to the release of GW2, they should have intruduced GW2 minis this year (and maybe festival hats too). Then next year, once GW2 is out, go to patterns like these. Seems it would only be good promotion. Though honestly, I doubt it would make a difference in who buys GW2. Just be a fun little thing.--Mooseyfate 02:06, 30 June 2012 (UTC)
(Reset indent) The halloween version made me think of this again ;) I'd still love to wear anything found as a mask. (Great, I'm wearing a grail of might upside down / bag over my head / cardboard box. Chieftain Alex 18:41, 21 October 2012 (UTC)
Rare Mini?[edit]
Is it possible they've snuck another rare mini in these like they did the Wintersday grab bag and the mini polar bear? It would be nice if the ANet staff would confirm or deny. --Darius Shalnin (talk) 13:09, 30 June 2013 (UTC)
