Perhaps some notes on countering Energy denial? - Thulsey User Thulsey good.gif - talk 08:10, 1 June 2007 (UTC)

See Energy hiding. MisterPepe talk 08:13, 1 June 2007 (UTC)
Ooops, not for me, for the article... maybe a link to Energy hiding under a See Also heading? Just a suggestion. - Thulsey User Thulsey good.gif - talk 08:24, 1 June 2007 (UTC)
Added, I think it's a good link to have. - anja talk (contribs) 08:30, 1 June 2007 (UTC)

Profession icons[edit]

Do the profession icons really need to be there for every skill? Imo, either start every row with the skill name (and icon), and explain nothing but that skill. Or, explain several skills in each note, but do not include the icons, since they make the text harder to read. - anja talk (contribs) 08:15, 1 June 2007 (UTC)

I have to agree that the icons are distracting and do not really add anything of value to the page.--Go to Wynthyst's Talk page Wynthyst 20:15, 10 May 2008 (UTC)

Amounts of energy[edit]

To stop a revert war, lets discuss if npc/bosses have extremly large amouts of energy. Dominator Matrix 06:08, 10 May 2008 (UTC)

This source [1] says all enemies have at least +1 energy regeneration on top of standard energy regeneration. I'll need another source to get their max energy levels. The max health and energy of monsters seems to be an unexplored/unrecorded part of Guild Wars. --The preceding unsigned comment was added by User: (talk).06:15, 10 May 2008 (UTC)
For one thing, this is a PvP tactics article. For another, I would need to know the source of the linked information other than just GuildWiki, as I have not found energy denial to be an unviable tactic in PvE. It seems to work just fine for me. --Go to Wynthyst's Talk page Wynthyst 06:18, 10 May 2008 (UTC)
Although the term "energy denial" or "e-denial" may be more popular in pvp, it still has meaning in pve because monsters definitely have the ability to e-deny careless players. I've added the article to the glossary category unless you can think of better categories to add it to. 06:25, 10 May 2008 (UTC)
Just noticed this on my talk page....Anyways. I reverted this statement mainly because of the wording. Stating that monsters have near infinite amounts of energy is almost too blunt. If this were true, I don't see skills like Ancestors Visage or Sympathetic Visage working at all in PvE, skills which are used in several situations for monster energy denial; The most I've seen of which is in the "A Time for Heroes" run to run the great destroyer out fo energy, rendering him to basic attacks. There may be other, more important uses in PvE though. If enough energy denial is used, then a monster can run out of energy, it is not near infinite. I hope that made sense, I'm terrible at explaining things. But that is why I did the reversion. --User Wandering Traveler Oie User Wandering Traveler Sig2.png Wandering Traveler 14:28, 10 May 2008 (UTC)
Famine and mind wrack works in pve, thats enough for proving they dont have infinite energy --Cursed Angel talk 14:38, 10 May 2008 (UTC)

Is this meant as a comprehensive list of energy denial skills? I added three, but I'm not sure if it was a good idea or not. Is there some order to the skills I'm missing, or should I make them alphabetical by class? Also, I didn't see an energy denial list on the list of lists: maybe that page deserves to be made? Someone on that talk page suggested a list of stance removers too, is there a criteria for what kind of lists deserve to be made? Manifold 00:38, 15 September 2009 (UTC)
