Real-life sword classification[edit]
This sword -- although to a larger scale than is historically common -- is an old Egyptian design called a Khopesh. This was from the Greek Kopis, though the Egyptian war sword which borrowed its namesake was much different from it or most any common blade of its time, featuring a sickle design meant for curving around or over the edges of a shield; powerful hacking blows; and "pulling" an enemy, enabling the wielder to supposedly knock opponents aside or pull them in closer for a fatality.
