Talk:Guide to farming Asura reputation points

From Guild Wars Wiki

Move It has been suggested that this page, Talk:Guide to farming Asura reputation points, be moved to Talk:Asura rank/Archive because: "Orphaned talk page from merge to Talk:Asura_rank".

Why does this article exist? It's much faster to gain points by taking a HM book, doing three missions and turning it in. 65.30.33.162 01:25, 2 January 2008 (UTC)

Because not everyone wants to get their titles through handing in books? It's probably here because the other reputation ranks have skill guides for them too. Silavor UserSilavorSigIcon.png 03:19, 14 January 2008 (UTC)
Also, it's not necessarily faster. I just cleared a land in HM and got a little over 10k in rep points in about an hour.

Merging header[edit]

I think the merging header can be deleted. The page that is suggested to merge it with doesn't exist anymore, neither does the talk page about it. -- User_talk:DewdropPepper - Dewdrop talk 23:37, 27 September 2008 (UTC)

Assassin bias[edit]

Raptor farming is commonly done with many different primary and secondary professions. Shadow form is not even necessary. For example, R/E and E/Me are commonly used (to name two). Unless we start putting all builds that work, it would be preferrable to just say that the farm involves a way to tank and do AoE damage. -- Alaris_sig Alaris 00:55, 9 November 2008 (UTC)

I see this is coming up again, so instead of endless reverts, why not discuss it. Perma + AoE might work (though AoE causes scatter), but it's not the only good way. See Sliver Armor or Vengeful Was Khanhei for two skills that are actually used to farm raptors. So either we put it all, or we keep it general. Discussion pages are fine for adding details. -- Alaris_sig Alaris 05:52, 7 December 2008 (UTC)
I changed the page a few weeks ago to be more neutral, especially since 'sins don't run this as much anymore after the SF nerf (and yes, there are still 'sin builds that work post nerf) and it was heavily biased toward 'sins. I also noted that Mist Form and Shadow Form are the two primary skills used to make builds to farm Rekoff and builds using skills like Vengeful Was Khanhei, Hundred Blades, and others (and there are others such as [this one for Dervishes]) usually do not, however, that does not mean they can't with the right build. --Falseprophet 20:16, 30 March 2009 (UTC)
Thanks. -- Alaris_sig Alaris 16:15, 31 March 2009 (UTC)

Map[edit]

Could a map be supplied of the first farm? --The preceding unsigned comment was added by User:Karasu (talk).

Changed Silver Armor to Sliver Armor, it's a common misspell. --Alistair Cookie User Alistercookie sig.jpg 20:41, 18 December 2008 (UTC)

Arbor Bay[edit]

Just farmed Arbor Bay for Asuran Reputation in Normal Mode, followed the guide (mostly) and came out with 3500 Asuran Reputation afterwards.
If I do this again with "O Brave New World" quest will that increase the total reputation by alot?

Mo/W farming[edit]

I was reading the raptor farming can be done with a monk/warrior but i cannot find a build, how it works or any clue about it. Since is almost as fast as a W/N build and i have a monk I wish to know if any of you guys know the build --Batousai 18:33, 18 July 2009 (UTC)

Look for a monk called Solas Christos in game - they might show you - it seems like a generic hundred blades build though, using vital blessing for extra health

Updates[edit]

I think there should be an update since Monk (for as far as I know) and Assassin have been nerfed, and maybe a few others too...User:Timus Timus - Talk 15:04, 3 May 2010 (UTC)

I agree. Plus, N/W isn't mentioned at all, and I can farm just as fast on my N/W as I can on my W/N. --Dahlia Lynith 12:21, 9 May 2010 (UTC)
